Yes, herpes and hpv are both transmitted thru skin contact.

Yes. Most common STI for which condoms provide little protection is HPV, followed by Hep B and HSVII.

There is no such thing as safe sex. Just safer. And more risky. You should discuss with your doctor your serial practices and what level of risk you are comfortable with.

Hpv can be spread through a handshake and then you jerk off and get it on yourself.
You need to try to minimize your risk but at the end of the day, don't live in fear.

HPV, syphilis, and herpes can be passed through the skin lesions or sores they produce. Syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhea can produce chancres (open but painless lesion) in some people who are recently infected, and these can also spread those diseases.

Basically, if someone's got sores near their genitals or anus (or hands, as is the case sometimes with syphilis), it behooves you to NOT have sex with them, condom or no.

Condoms greatly reduce your chances of catching anything via penetration, but if they break or you are using improper lube, they become far less effective.

Pubic lice may still be a risk. I don't know. They were around in the mid to late 80s. I haven't heard people talk about them at all since I was in my 20s.

Of course, pubic lice aren't covered by a penis shaft condom.

yes even kissing is not completely safe, that's the reason why the GP takes oral swabs too while testing for STDs...makes me want to stop having sex completely or just find one partner...but what if he isn't going to be monogamous? icon_sad.gif

The planet of Sri Lanka. Where at the age of 21 his school system and family members may not have provided this sex education to him.

One is not born with the info, or acquire it through osmosis. And relying upon hearsay from unqualified friends can be nearly as dangerous as having no information at all.

I think he shows wisdom by asking the question.

You get as many warts as you put question marks in your sentences. Enjoy that.
