No surprise there - he has been angling for this since he was SF mayor.

he's got kind of a sketchy track record too. not sure i'd whole heartedly support him, maybe if sarah palin was running against him.

UGH! I've known him in and out of politics since he was on the SF Bd. of Supes in the '90s. He's about as permissive a Democrat as you'll find, which will be terrible for CA's economy. Sure, he's good on gay rights, but there's a little more to running the world's 8th - and falling - largest economy than that. He's just another link in the chain of Democratic scions that hangs heavily around Californians' necks.

Ya hear that on FOX? The economy of California has gone up strongly since Jerry came in and mopped up the mess Arnold made. That's the same tactic you people use on Obama. A Republican ruins the economy and a Dem brings it back and you just can't admit it but instead just keep blaming him because it isn't even better. Let me tell ya, both Ca and the country are in a lot better shape than when either Repuke ran things.

With around 2/3rds of the Cal Legislature being democrats for a couple decades, Arnold couldn't ruin much of anything

    "A republican ruins the economy"

You mean not long after the Nancy and Harry Show took over in Jan 2007?

"Dem brings it back and you just can't admit it "

So not long after the Republicans take over the House 2010 and now the Senate.

Economy came back (somewhat) in spite of Obama, not because.

Amen, brother! I'm still waiting for someone to respond to my simple but outstanding request for the name of one law, program, reg, or even executive order that Obama authored that directly caused the economy to "recover" to the extent it has.

    Typical Fox News-type distortion.

The US economy was already tanking in 2007. A new incoming Congress can't write a new budget until the next year. By 2008 the economy was in full meltdown.

The huge US economy is like an ocean liner - it's takes a long time to reverse course and turn it around. It can't change overnight. But that doesn't seem to bother you guys. Just a few months after Obama took office it was him you Republicans were blaming for the economic mess.

All the while the Party of No was using every Congressional trick in the book to block Obama and Democrats at every turn. Their stated goal was to make Obama fail at all costs, including delaying the economic recovery.

Your only real rule is that no matter what the facts are, always blame the Democrats. And I'll admit it's a pretty good strategy, given how uninformed US voters are.

Well Bobby, given your disparagment of GOP, Republicans, Right Wingers in about 22,000 posts of your posts I figure I owe you one once in a while.

If Gavin Newsome runs for California governor, he will be elected by a large majority because most Californians are just like most New Yorkers, they are blind sycophants of the democratic party. Both California and New York are the bluest, most staunchly democratic states in the US and that is no bullshit.

Actually, not long after the stimulus bill passed. I don't know what the repub house has done to make you think they had a positive impact on the economy. They've been a drag if anything at all.
