She had some wine over dinner before the SOTU, that was brought there by another SCOTUS Justice. Double cute.

I love her candor and humor. "[During the State of the Union] the audience is awake for the most part, because they're bobbing up and down all the time, and we [Justices] sit there stone-faced, sober judges. At least I wasn't 100% sober..."

I'll start worrying when she not sober on the bench, or during deliberations. During the SOTU she can be passed out on the floor for all I care. I don't think the Supreme Court, nor the Joint Chiefs in their uniforms, should be present in the chamber in the first place. It's just window dressing for the cameras, a worthless custom.

I thought it was quite funny and cute. I like to see some RL candor from these folks once in a while.

Note that it was J. Kennedy, a GOP appointee, who brought the wine, but J. Ginsburg, a Democrat, who drank it ... to the point that she "wasn't 100% sober." A microcosm as much as a metaphor.

Good grief, you'd have to get me really liquored up to go to one of those things. Not to mention getting into one of those clown suits.

Is Ginsburg even 85 pounds. A thimble of wine would knock her on her ass.

    Now Scalia, there's a two-fister.
