    Just an idea....

Some executive positions require the employee to sign a contract that agrees to certain conditions. What if we had a 'Contract With Voters of the USA' that required the signers (every politician) to agree to the following conditions:

    1. They would not conduct insider trading.

    2. Will not be employed or consult any form of lobby group while in political office or for the following 10 years.

    3. Will not knowingly support the hiring of any lobbyist into a government position and will seek out this information prior to supporting hiring someone.

    4. Will work hard to create and support legislation that will not allow any individual, company or organization to have any more influence on a politician than the typical American voter has. Money should not equal more power or more influence.

Failure to do so would result in large fines and imprisonment. By agreeing to these terms, many American Voters will agree to consider voting for them. We can't get our legislatures to do this on their own. Can we get the voters to force them to do it?

And we could then get many American Voters to agree that they will not vote for any politicians that do not sign and adhere to the agreement. We could put in the ballot information whether the politician had signed it or not.

US elections are rigged. But Canada knows how to fix them.

Canada: Take the power away from partisan politicians and give it to independent commissions.

Your 4 little rules shows just how much you don't understand the way lawyers in government work.. All four of your points would be scooted around before the the shifty f**kers finished their morning coffee.

Just keep it so simple they can't use their expertise at twisting language to gt away with anything. It should be something like,

"if we catch you doing anything illegal, unethical or dishonest you are dead. No one will ever find your body.

As a public servant, elected representative, if you knowingly tell lies to the public you be brought before the public for execution. All your property and wealth will be confiscated, your children will be put up for adoption and their names changed. Your body will be processed for zoo carnivore food.

If you unknowingly spread lies while a public servant you'll be euthanized by firing squad in order to prevent us and yourself of ever having to endure your stupidity again."
