Generating profit from Greek Behavior

In the Eurozone -- and peripheral countries on the continent -- the volatility that passes across the financial markets has proven to be a positive if one's purpose is to make a profit. For that, I am thankful for the Greeks. It is however unfortunate that the Socialist Greek government thinks Eurozone nations are going to continue to hand them cash so as they may live a fake life of riley. Greeks are not profiting in any of this as their economy continues to shrink and falter.

Two or three years ago I made the comment that Emperor Obama was building "Greece on the Potomac." He can do this as he has enslaved those in America who are productive and via tax burdens push forward gobs of spending and more borrowing/printing to support it. In doing so, the American version of the Greek reckoning is pushed further into the future.

There is however a realization that has swept parts of the U.S. electorate whereby individuals realize they are slaves, whose labor is stolen -- much like Africans prior to 1860 -- to support a regime that lacks any sense of their best interest. All liberals will deny this of course, but then they voted for the same old liberal Dems in November 2014 as they always have.

Perhaps it is time for a union of the slaves. A strike is in order, perhaps followed by chaos.

face it, the EU is an abject failure and what Germany and the Netherlands are doing constitutes bank fraud (lending to someone who has 0 chance of paying back the loan)

the EU is not a union, it's a bunch of independent countries stuck with a failed common currency

there is no shared responsibly or tax revenue sharing like in the US, Canada or Australia (e.g. no "Eurobonds", just country specific bonds)

    1. Let Greece exit the EU. Cheaper Vacations there.
    2. Obama needs to exit also. He's a lame quack!
    3. Citizens of the world need to be more responsible and less dependent on others to take care of them.
    4. Save and spend less. Surprisingly, you will see how much you can pack away!
    5. Diet, get off your fat fucking ass!
    6. Work HARD and play with it HARDER!! lol
    7. Genus, ingenuity, creativity, productivity and persistence wins at the end of the day.
    8. Social democrats need to dig deeper and learn that it's not what you can take from the system, but what you can give.
    9. The US is a week nation! Just look around at our dependence on the cheep goods at walmart, not to mention the smoking, fat, unhealthy cows that graze there with the government subsidized funds. GO TO WORK!
    10. Taxation is a killer. Why not tax all the unhealthy foods in this country!

Just some ideas on my mind!!

I'm glad that you are saying it as it is. I couldn't agree with you more. I'm sick of conservatives here on rj talking about the Greek crisis and making bizarre claims about Obama and the Greek economy lol. Germany is profiting big-time from Greece Spain Portugal. It really is that simple. The previous government was just doing as they were told. Thank god the new government is standing up to Germany. Not that they will accomplish anything tremendous as 232 billion just can't be repaid. We (greece) never should have gone the euro route in the first place it is a total farce and a total failure. Germany is just a big bank.

Don't reference the ACTUAL horrors of slavery in your ignorant and ill-informed opining on current tax policy. Taxes are comparable to what Reagan presided over.

Pathetic, unsourced, and partisan hack post.

You subscribe to the economic school of libertarians and/or Tea Party "patriots," you reject Keynesian economics and New Deal economic theories. We get it. But stop with the hyperbole comparing current tax policy to ACTUAL slavery.

    Doofus.

It is not just German and the Netherlands that loaned to the Greek government. Oddly, even Portugal, Italy, and Spain participated in the "bailout." If you see it as bank fraud, they too are guilty. :-)

The sooner Greece defaults and exits the Euro the better Europe will be. Let's hope that is soon. Let the Greeks go borrow from the crows.

At the moment the cards are stacked that Greece will be forced to exit the Euro and live their Communist lives as they please.

Obama's time is coming. I think in 2016 we will see Hillary the Hilarity stand off against Scott Walker. Should be fun.

Well, the world is full of irresponsible trash. Much like the Manhattan based nut ball I blocked.

    :-)

they should just tax all financial instuments held less than 10 seconds, we would be out of debt almost instantly, and there would be pressure on companies to actually succeed, rather than some illsionary computer game.

Your OP and replies are rambling and meandering to the point that it appears you have neuro-syphillus.

    Please get it together.
