    Why is this of particular note? I thought many US Republicans also reject the Copernican model of the solar system. Just like most of them reject evolution, global warming, vaccination, and most other modern science in general.

    Either way they're all still working with a medieval mindset, only from the perspective of different religions.

    (Note: Not all private schools are bad, but there are some doozies, like the one that teaches the Loch Ness Monster is real in order to offer proof of Creationism.)

    You need to differentiate between private schools in the old sense, and religious schools.
