Personally I like other guys to take the lead because I can never be certain if a guy does or doesn't like me and I don't want to waste the effort into trying to get in contact with someone who doesn't want to talk.

There's an art to it. You can make the first move without it seeming like it. There's no rule that says you have to be the one to speak first. You do not have to be the one to walk across the bar.

At my age making what's considered as the "first move" make me appear to be a creepy old man. I go out to socialize, not pick up. But occasionally socializing leads to other things.

A while back, watching a game of pool with a new face in the bar with a guy with a reputation for winning, I saw the new guy studying the table, standing near me. I'd seen the same break played by the other guy many times before and beat him at it.

"Sink the seven ball and don't leave him a shot," I advised, "take my word on it."

He did and the shark lost that game. They played again and the new guy was once again studying the table. I whispered advise to him and won the second game.

Later he asked me to play him. I said it wouldn't be fair, which it wouldn't have been. That led to him sitting with me talking and later watching me and the guy he beat play a game which I won easily. While I was shooting the bartender told him I had a table at home on which I played all the time.

The new guy asked about my table and if I'd teach him more about shooting. He's been coming over once a week to play pool socialize and learn about pool and other things of course, usually spending the night.

He thought I only gave friendly advise to help him win. II'm not going to let him know I've used that same tactic a few hundred times to get guys home for more than a game of pool.

LOL sailing lessons anyone? Or you wouldn't believe how many times I've gotten laid by inviting guys on scuba trips. Compressed air may be some sort of aphrodisiac. But I'm never the first one to reach for their body... At least not the younger guys.

    It's not the air.

Water turns it into a free for all. There's just something about it. No leading, no following. Even though I considered my bud my captain. We both knew I was admiral. We had so much fun and not just with ourselves but with others we'd pick up along the way. We were crazy.

Even when I was a teen I remember going to the Bahamas on a neighbor's 60something footer with his stunning son and we picked up a hitchhiker on her way back to the states and there was just sex all over that boat. You couldn't enter a cabin without legs flying everywhere. So fun.

Yeah, it's the water. We never forget our early swim lessons. Having someone who you can trust for a good time, I mean trust all the time.

Does everyone have their swim buddy?

Hmm... Actually I have never yet gotten laid on the H16. Although it seems almost made for the purpose. In fact I can never get anybody to go out on it with me icon_sad.gif. The last guy who did was a cute black guy, wearing one of my outgrown wetsuits. As soon as I started flying a hull, he turned white! I put his back against the mast and sailed, slowly, back to the beach.

The E29, on the other hand, is like a floating bath house icon_razz.gif
Wet bar and two cabins makes all the difference.

Well, you're all the way up there in the North Pole. I'd insist on the heated cabin cruiser too. That water must get cold. I've never even needed a wet suit, having lived in the tropics and semi-tropics since a teen.

I didn't even know you had a Hobie. I've been on them but I had a little sunfish. I could make that thing dance on the water. The little boats are real fun because they're just so engaging. You become a part of the machinery. You'd've loved my bud, he loved tipping boats over. Especially after a few too many beers. Holy shit that was fun.

For the guys you take out, besides that water temp issue, I assume you make sure that they're swimmers. Beyond that there's them trusting you at the helm and their own sense of fun I guess. Also I guess their understanding of how a boat works. I just love that stuff. Love it. I saw that Hobie vid and when I see them dunk it, I just start giggling. But I'm real comfortable in and on the water.

And that illustrates too how tough it is to find a guy who's going to walk with you side by side. I think it's odd to find a real good match without life working to keep ya apart. It'd be nice but I don't ever expect to have again what I knew with my bestest bud.

Actually, the H16 was designed to be sailed by the perfect SoCal teen couple. One 160 lb boy and one 105 lb girl. That's exactly how much weight it takes to right it after you flip it over. (if you're a lonely dude, you have to carry a big bag that you can fill with 105 lbs of water, or a long lever pole. ).

So fast tho... So fun icon_razz.gif

Didn't know that. So the H stands for hetero. Ewww girls.

But ya, way fast. And I've never even seen the wildcat on the water. Don't know if that's a new boat but I don't remember that growing up. That looks crazy fast. I must say it does look beautiful with those mountains which you get somewhat in the Caribbean but certainly not in Florida. So that leaves just the cold water which might freak me out. Haven't been in cold water since a young teen boating Long Island Sound and that was summers so not bad. I suppose for the thrill and for that incredible scenery, you just get used to it.

And then when you "accidentally" tip, ooops, you get to swim with orcas, yay.
