Yes / to your question. I'm white and my partner is black. We aren't concerned with the exterior paint jobs we were each born with. What's on our insides / integrity / personality / all kinds of others features / what's important.

Why worry about something like skin color? It's not like we have much of a choice, is it? Nobody asked to be born a certain color or nationality. Why worry about shit you didn't choose? Black is beautiful. All colors are.

Yes of course. I find every race phsyically appealing. I've grown up around so many different kinds of people and I think this rubbed off on me and I'm thankful for that. I can understand why some men and women have racial hangups (being with what's familiar to me) but in the modern time today, it just seems so restricting. BUT, I realize the heart wants what the heart wants. So if a guy/girl prefers to date within their race, alright on them.

Looks are not the most important thing when you really like someone let alone race...but I guess some find some races unattractive just like a gay would find a woman non sexualy apealing or I find lack of masculinity a deal breaker for sex, it's hard to fully understand other perspective if you do not experience what heshe feel
I would not let race stop me from dating a guy thou, would date the shit out of op if I didn't have a bf icon_razz.gif but that's me,we're all our own individuals some more transparent than others...

I never make race an issue for others.

When others make race an issue for me they lose every time.

I don't "see past" anyone. I embrace what they are, black, Hispanic, etc. It's a part of them. "Seeing past" implies it's a problem, something of a hurdle.

I am constantly shocked by the all-to-frequent racism on gay dating/hook up websites. Where else in modern society would you see comments "no asians" or "no blacks"? It's not okay. I am white and when I come across another white guy with racism or other ignorant content on his profile, he does not get laid, and if I feel like it's not a lost cause, I'll tell him why. I also try to highlight that I am open to people of any race on my profile. That doesn't mean that I'm into one race over others, but I hope that it at least makes some non-white individuals more welcomed. In any case, there should be zero tolerance for prejudice of any kind in our community.

Absolutely...a kind soul, an easy smile, a sharp intellect and an open attitude are what attract me....plus I am rather attracted to men who are non-white.

the politically correct answer is clearly "yes we can", and its true that a minority of all races are attracted to and prefer multiracial partners. But mostly we are sheep, not adventurers, as you will note from the low volume of responses.

True, many gay men will blow an alien invader from Uranus with a 14 inch cock, but none have so far walked down the aisle with granny beaming over her bible at their 50 shades of alien grey family.

if we're honest, black and white folk often seem to have a different socialised ideal of (especially facial) beauty and even physical sexual triggers. It is normal to feel comfortable around people who sound, look, smell, eat, dress, listen to similar music as ourselves - that does not make us 'sexual racists'.

As a matter of interest, how many Asians have you dated?

race; we all are the expert.
there is less genetic differences between reace than you would find in the people you meet on a city street in NYC.

    Hear hear.

But Matthew56 has demonstrated that he's self-hating. A very sad case; wish he could learn to love himself. And not see past his blackness or gayness but embrace and love them.

I agree that many gay men are "sheep", afraid to date outside of their flock. And not just in terms of race, but also in class, age, physical appearance, etc. Maybe we are just like the straight world in that respect, because that's not just a gay thing.

About the comments above - what a total useless "discussion" of race in the gay community. Someone plays the "you're a racist" card followed by the "that's so politically correct" card. Predictable. Enough defensiveness everyone.

I have to agree about the "sheep" mentality of gays.
I wish more people would challenge their preferences and meet guys who don't match their exact preference criterias. They'll be really surprised how someone who doesn't fit to their preference can be attractive and potential date or partner. I am not asking you to go after someone you find unattractive, but with someone who may not have the biggest dick or the muscle or blue eyes or blond hair etc kind of thing, and still attractive for you.

Actually in the straight world they are more open to race mixing than in the gay world
