What does it take to get a 100,000+ views for a YT video?

I finally took the plunge and posted a very brief "artistic" nude clip...

What does it take? Some Creativity and Talent are generally needed.

or follow Elliot Rodger's example if you have none of them.

You have a decent speaking voice. Try working with it.

How many of the instruments did you play?

I would conjecture that it's a mixture of ingredients that entice people to watch a particular YouTube video. With Vloggers, some of them have an established fanbase so they are likely to watch the video regardless of it's content: think Joey Graceffa or Tyler Oakley.

Otherwise, something interesting, something with 'shock' value (and perhaps the potential to go viral), informative (such as tutorials for different things) or entertaining (often at the expense of others).

Also, are your videos directed to a broad 'YouTube audience' or a smaller niche audience like the videos of Davey Wavey for instance, who targets his videos towards gay men and arguably people interested in health and fitness.

I guess it takes selfless promotion here on RJ

If it was any good it would have scored 100,000 hits organically

Yes, because everyone who has talent is magically turned into a celebrity... Almost everyone has a friend who is a better singer than Britney Spears.

I'm a fan of Britney, but she is far from the most talented performer.

Wear something blue/black or white/gold. That seems to work so well this past week. icon_confused.gif

Use all channels available to you: RJ, twitter, facebook, instagram, snapchat, blog, etc, etc.

Lol you're right about social media. I actually need to make original music... I seriously think hip-hop can possess elements with classical sounds. #timeless

You're right... I just haven't defined and I'm not sure I will ever define, who my audience would most likely be.

I know it will sound crazy BUT I just get these huge creative inspirations...

One very early morning I woke up, and I could hear all my favorite Disney songs (inside my head)... I literally couldn't sleep until I connected all of them via editing! [Yellow is hard to read I made the size larger]

I had an iTunes gift card from a Secret Santa at one of the dance studios I danced at. So I bought the songs I wanted to connect. It was really difficult choosing between the "theatrical/movie version" or "singer's version" of A Whole New World... Although I love both; the "singer's version" was a nice way to end the song clip I created -- it had a grander feel to it.

After I finally created the music clip I was able to sleep for a few hours... I began coming up with a concept and eventually created this YT video:

But this is the thing I will only create or write things when I get these huge creative urges -- it's better than an orgasm and lasts longer than one too!

At the end you kind of have your own "baby"... I don't have a studio's budget -- so a lot of inspirations never come into fruition. BUT my point is I never want to label myself or be killed creatively -- put in a box (pun intended). I always want it to come from a place of inspiration or motivation. Anyway thank you to the guys who offered helpful comments <3

What the fuck is selfless promotion in relationship to the person who makes the video promoting it?

That video clip of me hypothetically touching and releasing myself is semi-artistic -- most people can't tell what it is... I played with the coloring, lighting, and size dimensions.

PLUS it was the only way to post nudity on YT icon_lol.gif

One day we will all be dead and it's not like I showed anything I'll regret. I'd never let a man or the media use me in a way that disrupts my own life's standards. I thought carefully, before actually posting it.

As a previous member said, I could do BETTER.

So on to the next recording...

    #OntoTheNextOne

I still want to create a brand new sound, combining classical sounds, and positive/uplifting/thought-provoking lyrics.
