    Forget those reasons.

We gays have our own #1 reason.

    We live for shade.

Husky men are usually the first to get my attention. I think this article sums it up pretty well, especially the man-pillow thought. It's funny my current bf is the thinnest man I've ever dated. But he has broad shoulders and a warm hairy pelt that keeps me warm in the winters.

On the con side I would be afraid they may be a negative influence. It takes work for me to stay at an ideal weight. I run so I can eat without worrying about it too much but even then still have to watch what I eat. Many times I don't want to lift weight but should do more than I do. I do like guys that are kind of bulky but not "husky".

    Interesting:

    7. He's not one of those image-conscious bro-y gym rats whose only friends are the commenters on bodybuilding forums. And he won't leave those ridiculous vats of protein powder around the house.

    +2.

The ultimate superseding reason not to sleep with a husky: they're fat. Stop trying to make fat beautiful, it's not.

I am happy for anyone who is comfortable with their body, no matter where they are at on weight scale. I however find it a huge turn off, with myself and others. I don't even think someone who is massive with a high BMI attractive. Some men find that attractive, whether it's because they want to feel "protected" by a big daddy or for whatever reason, I just view it as obesity and in my mind I can't get past that.

Seth Rogen cuddled with James Franco. I'd love to be sandwiched between them. icon_redface.gif

I know the article is mostly humor but there is some truth to it. When I see a guy with a six pack I get immediately turned off. I'm not exactly sure why but I think it has to do with the attitude that almost always goes along with it. My ideal type would be a muscular guy with a bit of beef mixed in, but if I had to choose between a beefy guy and a skinny guy the beefy guy is going to get my vote every time. One of the reasons is I like a BIG ass on a guy. icon_twisted.gif

I thought it was kinda funny. And I had no idea Cosmopolitan had such "earthy" articles (but then I never read it). The author's language is more like a sailor's, as the sayings used to go, maybe why she likes her men a little crude.

As for myself, I always thrilled at a muscular, rock-hard chest to snuggle into. Which my husband now doesn't have, he's more the pillow guy she describes. But that's OK, I'm fully content with what I've got. icon_biggrin.gif

I'm not into 'husky' but I'm also not into super ripped, super cut, plucked, shaved, bronzed men. I like a fit man who is 'natural'.

    How Urban Dictionary defines husky:

A term mothers often use to say to their overweight son when the son says he is fat.

Josh: No mom, those jeans wont fit, im fat.
Josh's Mom: Oh josh, your not fat, just husky, its a good thing, girls like husky.

It's like they quoted a conversation from my childhood, when pants cut for my height would never be nearly wide enough for my waist. And my mother had yet to realize that I was much more concerned about how little Jenny's brother viewed me than about how Jenny herself viewed me.

Personally, I prefer the feeling of a hard body. I sleep with three pillows: that's enough softness for one bed.
