Channel admits O’Reilly did not witness bombings in Northern Ireland or murders in El Salvador in wake of questions over TV host’s reporting experiences.

It will come as no surprise to most people that, as well as being a bullying loud mouth (in the safety of a TV studio, of course), O'Reilly is also a lying coward.

But the question is, will Fox do anything to censure Reilly, or punish him, for a consistent history of verified lies regarding his personal experiences during conflicts in the Falklands, El Salvador, Israel, Ireland, and regarding Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans?

Members of the RJ Conservaposse jumped on the Brian Williams story, now where are they regarding this?

I really think people experience a sort of catharsis when they listen to this angry, Catholic, Long Island, bully prick spew off bullshit

    O'Reilly's reputation has been destroyed.
Even a week or two ago, he still had more credibility with Independent swing voters than the rest of the more blatantly obvious pro-Repub partisan talking heads on Fox.
    Now, he's lost that forever.

It's not only a huge loss for O'Reilly.
It's an even bigger loss for Fox.

Fox's failure to hold O'Reilly accountable for his proven history of serial lying means that this major scandal has damaged not only O'Reilly - it's damaged the reputation of everyone who works at Fox.

I wouldn't believe everything that O'Reilly says because he is an ignorant hothead with a very short fuse. But despite those serious shortcomings, he is very entertaining especially when he loses his temper and starts angrily spewing all kinds of gibberish. It is even more hilarious when someone puts him on the spot and proved him wrong on television, than the fireworks really beginicon_biggrin.gif

I think Fox will let O'Reilly keep going for a few more weeks or maybe months, then he will 'retire for family reasons' (i.e. his family will get to see more of his lying ass).

What reputation? First you've gotta HAVE a legitimate reputation before it can be damaged.

That would be like someone being criticized for damaging the reputation of a known prostitute by calling her a whore.

I'm generally not a fan because he's a loud mouth, hot head and a little full of himself. If I'm going to spend any time in front of a TV, it'll be watching Velocity. A TV is for tornado warnings and Velocity. That's about it.

If I'm going to watch/listen to a commentator/pundit, I'll listen to Tea Party co founder David Webb on XM 125. He's reasonable without the theatrics and drama of O'really !!!!!

    1) When was the last time you watched his show on Fox News Channel?

    2) How many times per week do you watch his show on Fox News Channel?

    3) How do your questions alter the facts that many others have documented about O'Reilly, that Ex_Mil8 is citing?
    4) Why are you using unrelated diversions to defend O'Reilly?
    5) Are you confirming that you're a devoted watcher of his Fox program yourself?
    6) What is your own opinion of O'Reilly's voracity?

2000 year old admonition in rhetoric:
mutato nomine de le fabula narrator

"change the name and the story is about you."

Apply it to a line from above comment and we get....

"It will come as no surprise to most people that, as well as being a bullying loud mouth (in the safety of a forum, of course), I am also a lying coward."

Bigotry: a state of mind where a person obstinately, irrationally, unfairly or intolerantly dislikes other people, ideas, etc. Some examples include personal beliefs, race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, gender, disability, sexual orientation, political affiliations, socioeconomic status, or other group characteristics.

My question is a direct question to the OP regarding his claimed expertise on the topic that HE created.

Your questions make wild assumptions that have no basis in fact as they pertain to me and Mr. O'Reilly.

I look forward to the OP's reply to my questions.

Why is your evasion not a surprise to most of us here? icon_biggrin.gif

    Huh?

Nothing to elaborate on really. Everyone needs to look in the mirror every now and then to see what they look like.

Everyone needs to read some definitions every now and then and see themselves reflected back just as if they were looking in a mirror.

That's all. It's something we teach in schools about bullying and being considerate to others...

I've watched his show enough times to form an opinion of it. The first time I came across it (channel hopping in Sacramento) I was astounded. The 'guest' said something O'Reilly took exception to (the truth, probably) and O'Reilly just shouted over the guy and ordered the gallery to fade him out!

    Funny you'd say that....

Less than a month ago at the end of his show as always, O'Reilly read emails from viewers. One of them accused him of going what you said and also cutting off microphones when people piss him off. O'Reilly said he has done neither and if he ever had it would be the most viewed video on youtube.

I did a few searches and went into youtube and can't find the one you say you saw.

PLEASE find the link and let us all see it!!!! We would all love to!

Yeah, I've seen O'Reilly do that repeatedly. Egotistical bullies will be bullies.

The whole purpose of the show is to give O'Reilly a forum to express his own biased views. Not truly explore & debate the views of his guests.

So that when the exchange is working against O'Reilly, and he can't hijack it to sound off about his own prejudiced views, he just shuts it down. Rush Limbaugh does much the same thing. It's always all about them, not the guests.

Funnily enough, I found this within a few minutes of searching:

At 5:04 Bill O'Reilly says, "Cut his mic". He might have said he's never done it, but remember, he is a liar.

That's Great Art Deco! I'm sure you are going to get busy now and provide us with some links for some shows where O'Reilly did that, aren't you?

    OK, time's up.

    You live in the UK.

You don't have access to O'Reily's show.

    You don't watch O'Reilly's show.

O'Reilly has right-of-center political views which you disagree with, therefore you have an interest in seeing him discredited.

The truly odd thing is that O'Reilly has absolutely no influence whatsoever on your life in the UK, yet you have this obsession with him and other things American.

Haha. What are you going to do, SB, cut my mic?

Ex Mil, You must have me on Ignore?

We really want to see videos of O'Reilly doing anything like what you accused him of. Art Deco says he's seen them too. I'm sure between the two of you there's plenty of time to prove that neither one of you are making all this up.

If you guys do that I'll add all the ones from CNN MSNBC, HLN, CNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC okay?

How convenient for you. You were able to read my previous post (the one before I proved you wrong). I think they call it willful blindness. I'm sure other RJers will confirm they have read it though.

The problem with these RJ Right Wing patsies is that they haven't been able to reply to your OP link. That demonstrates what a douche-bag O'Reilly is.

What they've done, and continue to do, is to personally attack anyone here who criticizes O'Reilly. Or deflect criticism to someone else, like Chris Matthews (whom I detest anyway).

Typical tactics for them. When they can't prove the argument, they'll challenge you on your nationality in your case, and say that I have a drinking problem in mine.

Really rather low and despicable, wouldn't you agree? And proof that we've won this round. But then, these US radical Right Wingers never win the point here, do they? Except in their own minds. icon_biggrin.gif

I was just posting it as a point of information. Where did I write that you "claimed" Mr. O'Reilly was a Conservaposse operative or a member of Conservaposee Central Command?

Then why did you even state it? Please, you are being disingenuous in the extreme.

But I'll give you credit for derailing another thread you don't like. Well done!
