The overwhelming amount of undeniable evidence that's been uncovered re: lies that O'Reilly has told is finally forcing Fox to admit the obvious.

But the proven serial liar will continue in his timeslot on Fox.

And this is an "All Things Gay" topic as opposed to an "Arts and Entertainment" or "News and Politics" topic because????

Actually you only serve to bump this topic, which is good. Your bizarre obsession with where posts are placed, as a pathetically weak criticism against posts you don't like, only helps to give them more exposure. Congrats! icon_biggrin.gif

Why would this topic have anything to do with politics?

It concerns Fox - a media organization.

Or, are you suggesting that Fox is a political organization?

    LOL

Very likely. Fox already knew O'Reilly was a liar, how could they not, but he's been good for their ratings.

They've already drawn the wagons around O'Reilly, calling his critics part of a Left Wing conspiracy, even as they have to correct his false claims. They aren't gonna throw a cash cow under the bus. Fox News doesn't have the journalistic integrity of an NBC.

Fox News forced to backtrack again over Bill O'Reilly's reporting claims

Channel admits O’Reilly did not witness bombings in Northern Ireland or murders in El Salvador in wake of questions over TV host’s reporting experiences

    http://www.theguardian.com/media/2015/mar/02/fox-news-bill-o-reilly-reports

"Fox News has admitted, in answer to questions from the Washington Post, that host Bill O’Reilly did not witness any bombings in Northern Ireland or murders in El Salvador. The network said he saw only photographs of such atrocities."

Apparently, O'Reilly thinks not letting him get away with lying = a Left-Wing Conspiracy

You are a sad little hypocritical worm. To start off with you'll stand up and do your best soprano screams from the hilltops about someone lying as long as it's not your beloved leader. Just the enormous web of lies involved in getting ACA passed he will go down in history as the most dishonest man ever to sit in the White house.

Did you take the time to read that article? In the headline it says Fox News admitted O'Reilly lied. Then nowhere in the article odes it offer anything remotely resembling a detail of supportive evidence to back up that claim. No date give, no name given, no quote given.

That means the person who wrote the article was stacking up bullshit and that you are one of the idiots he was aiming it at. No facts, no proof = no evidence. Just because you desperately want something to be true doesn't mean you can change reality or make up your own facts just because you don't like the ones that existed before your petty little ass decided to show how obedient of a mindless non thinking shill you will be to push lame ass ideology based in bullshit like this.

And here's a preemptive "fuck you" for the accusation you're going to make that I'm some conservative. Sorry dummy. I'm going to stick with putting facts and reason over any damned party's ideology.

You spreading lies like this makes you just as much of a low life hate spreading scum sucking bastard as any fundamentalist christian spreading lies about gay people.

You can tell how unsophisticated the crazy right-wing trolls who obsessively post right-wing BS here on RJ are by the angry irrational fact-free comments they post to try to erase the humiliating destruction of O'Reilly's credibility.

They post unhinged comments full of name-calling to try to make themselves feel like they're preventing the truth about O'Reilly from becoming known - but it's already WAY too late for that.

Their desperate attempt to try to prevent O'Reilly from becoming the punch line of a million jokes has failed and they don't even know it!

That's what happens when people only watch Fox.
    They become removed from reality.

    +1

QFT. You notice how they go right for the personal attacks whenever they're losing the argument? Typical childish, petullant behavior. Throw a temper tantrum until you get your way - how adult! And how US Right Wing. icon_razz.gif

They are still keeping him on the year because the whole network lies. There's no integrity already so what difference does one more lie make.

All that matters to Fox is ratings. And selling their Right Wing propaganda, as mandated by Rupert Murdoch.

Whereas NBC quickly canned Brian Williams, for a much lesser offense. They axed him immediately, for journalistic violations, when it was shown he had stretched the truth in his reporting.

And yet the Right Wingers here slam NBC for untruthfulness, but embrace and quote Fox. As you say, Fox has no journalistic integrity, only Right Wing political goals. Same as some RJ members here.

Yet they play this shell game - one minute Fox masquerades as a legitimate news organization, but when challenged on their lies they hide behind a claim that they're just an entertainment channel.

The result being that most of their viewers do believe Fox is a legitimate & trustworthy news outlet. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Yes, plus the sad truth is that Fox viewers think that O'Reilly shot down the "liberal smear campaign" and the scandal just melted away.

Fox viewers don't watch any other news channels because they think Fox is the only one that tells the truth (LOL!) - so they think O'Reilly has emerged unscathed when - outside of the tiny pro-Repub Fox bubble - nothing could be further from the truth.

The only way Fox viewers would realize that Bill has done something wrong is if they fired him - so they'll never do that.

    True.

Plus, Fox is following the example set by their beloved former Repub president George W. Bush - who made it his policy to never apologize for or even admit any of his COUNTLESS foul-ups.

Refusing to admit mistakes - and refusing to take corrective action after screwing up - has become a hallmark of the Repub party and it's media outlets.

Only fools believe that the news media has higher concerns than the bottom line. It's equally true for tv, radio, magazines, and newspapers. We live in a capitalist society and they are businesses and in order to be successful businesses they must massage and manage the information they provide as news. Good advertising and marketing dupe the fools into believing that the news media outlets are really concerned about telling us what's true and what's important.

Bill O'Reilly is just a pompous loudmouth who is hilarious when he gets all bent out of shape when someone proves him wrong. He is great entertainment that's all. He has little credibility in terms of reporting things accurately. Obviously he lies which helps raise the ratings for the Fox network. I just take him with a grain of salt.

I'm with you on this one. As Jon Stewart said, they're waving their arms and crying "The Emperor has no clothes!" all while O'Reilly's been running around wagging his dick in our faces going on nearly 20 years now.
