Read this review of Shakespeare's Secret Messiah by Joseph Atwill.

After reading his first book: "Caeser's Messiah" I was bound to get this followup book with a continuation of the Flavian Theory of Christianity. I am ammazed that this theory meets Occum's Razor scientific scruinity. I would recommend both these books to anyone who is questioning their Christian faith. It is the simplest answer and meets the facts that none outside the New Testament sources can answer. My realization from these two books makes me understand that Joseph Smith and his Book of Mormon, as well as the supposed profit Muhammad and his Quar'an as well as the New Testement are all Fakes, Frauds, and Lies, meant to control people, not bring any spiritual meaning to one's life. DON'T READ THESE BOOKS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE TRANSFORMED MENTALLY AND SPIRITUALLY.

The letters of Paul were redacted by the imperial historian succeeding Josephus.

I'll try to explain. I'm just getting my head around this.

    1. We know for sure that Emperor Domitian grafted himself into God-Jesus in Revelation.

When revelation talks about the Living God, it's not talking about He Lives Easter Jesus. It is talking about Emperor Domitian who wanted to be Jesus Christ as Emperor Vespasian, his father, sarcastically played with the Jewish Messiah notion and as his brother Emperor Titus was the Son of Man.

The gospels were redacted to graft emperor worship onto the idea of the Jewish Messiah.

Roman emperors said: We are your Messiah, your Savior.

Paul, a Jew, was pretty much under house arrest in Rome. Whatever letters he wrote, they were preserved for use by Roman propaganda and the emperors and the emperor historians, sorry, the imperial historians, made sure the gospels, the letters of Paul, and the Book of Revelation hid Roman emperors between the lines.

If you think I'm kidding, read chapter 11 and chapter 12 of Shakespeare's Secret Messiah by Joseph Atwill. Those chapters cover Revelation and the letters of Paul respectively.

    In my own YouTube video,

much of the information is there except chapter 12 which I've started tackling.

Christianity may be junk food religion; it depends on how spiritual it is to worship an effing Roman emperor.

As for the historical Jesus, the Roman Emperors are no more than 25% of the historical Jesus. You see that in my video.

But the Jesus Christ, the Jesus beyond the man, the emperors wanted that glory.

    And got it.

Some people wouldn't know unless it was spelled out to them, Moonhawk.

Your contribution doesn't help those I can help, with sensitivity and encouragement.

I can still fall back on my independent study at NYU on the sociology of religion.

What do you have to offer to care for the world? Religion is still a segment of human experience.

Laughing at the misfortune of billions of people (the fraud is a global disaster affecting Christians including Latter Day Saints and Muslims--even the live and let live moderates in those groups; and, you're laughing at them.)

I'm in the middle of reading After Auschwitz by Richard L. Rubenstein which was mentioned in another post. He is arguing that the Holocaust falsifies Judaism's beliefs in God and the Chosen People. He doesn't bring this up but a natural corollary is that the Holocaust also falsifies Christianity. Rubenstein's argument is that if you believe in a personal god that directs history then there is no getting around that the Holocaust and the death of 6 million Jews is a part of God's plan which is an idea that Rubenstein will not accept.

Professor Ehrman when discussing why suffering falsifies the belief in God uses natural disasters as his examples to avoid the argument that God allows free will and therefore everything is humanity's fault. God in the free will argument is just an innocent bystander to suffering.

Richard Rubenstein also brings up what happens when beliefs are falsified. The normal reaction is not to give up the falsified beliefs but rather to reinterpret them in an effort of dissonance reduction. This is the major purpose of theology. The history of Christianity is one of dissonance reduction as Christians first faced the fact that Jesus did not return and now have to face Jesus was not the Son of God.

Most Christian scholarship including critical scholarship is an effort at dissonance reduction. Unity and Diversity in the New Testament: An Inquiry into the Character of Earliest Christianity by James D.G. Dunn as well as the rest of his books are examples of this. Unity and Diversity is critical scholarship whose purpose is to bring the diversity of earliest Christianity into a posited overarching unity found in Jesus. The trinity of Christian scholarship is the uniqueness of monotheism, the uniqueness of Jesus and his teachings and the uniqueness of Christianity.

One does not have to leave the first century to find a tribulation that falsifies Judaism’s belief in the God of Israel and the Chosen People. The Jewish Revolt already did that. Jesus has already recognized that Judaism was false and belief in the God of Israel and the that god’s people was a false hope worthy of punishment.

Watch this video, probably in different sittings since it is 2:44 without an intermission.

The Hebrew Bible taught us on at least two occasions, when there are god wars, go for the stronger god. I’m thinking of the altar competition, for one. So, when the Romans put down the Jewish Revolt, Jupiter was their god which defeated the God of Israel notion of god. When beliefs are falsified, sometimes people just go with the winner/victor.

What do you think of the Sumerian tablet translations that speak of the annunaki creating the first man adamu? Also they mention an ark but say the ark had the collection of every animals seed not the actual animal themselves. The Sumerian tablets speak of artificial insemination and creation of man as a slave race. Not that I 100% believe in these Sumerian cuneiform tablets, but their existence is very intriguing.

This guy discovered millions of terraces in Africa that go against modern theories that Africa was sparsely populated. These discoveries lend some credibility to the translations of the Sumerian tablets by zecharia sitchin. Specifically that mankind was created to mine gold

    That is a complicated situation.

I don't recall the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York or the American Museum of Natural History helping the public out in understanding those artifacts.

    Lt_bear13,

    You're somewhat off-topic, wouldn't you agree?

You have anything closer to home--perhaps, if you get through the video I posted?
