Star Wars Gets First Official LGBT Character

Moff Mors, as “an Imperial who has made some very serious mistakes but she is an incredibly capable leader and spends much of the book working hard to prevent absolute failure. She also happens to be a lesbian.

In the Star Wars universe I think people would be more worried about what species you're shacking up with.

It's a safer move for the Star Wars franchise than having an overtly gay character. Lesbians are generally more acceptable to their predominately straight male movie audience than a gay character would be. So it shouldn't negatively impact their box office.

Although it might be a challenge to integrate plaid flannel shirts with the usual other-worldly Star Wars attire.

A lesbian in Star Wars? You mean they're actually going to have more than 1 major female character in this trilogy?

Good point. Aside from Princess Leia, and Queen Padmé Amidala, who have the women leads been?

This is in the books. The books aren't even canon, but at least it's something. I thought it was in the movies.
