I quite enjoy with the HBO Looking at the moment. It is not that sexual like Queer As Folk. But some guys say it is boring. What is your favorite ?

I recently enjoyed an Argentinian movie called "Plan B." I also watched "Hawaii" and "Absente" by the same writer/director.

It's tough finding a good gay movie.

Mambo Italiano - Charming, light hearted and well crafted movie but very gay centric.

    Another Country. Beautiful and true.

    Wikipedia:

Another Country is a 1984 British romantic historical drama written by Julian Mitchell, adapted from his play of the same name. Directed by Marek Kanievska, the film stars Rupert Everett and Colin Firth.

Another Country is loosely based on the life of the spy and double agent Guy Burgess, Guy Bennett in the film. It explores his homosexuality and exposure to Marxism, while examining the hypocrisy and snobbery of the English public school system.

When they make a movie of "Putting on the Ritz" by the writer for "Frasier" that'd be it. I'm amazed nobody ever bought the rights but he can afford to not sell them.

    Maurice..
    Gawd It's been so long.
My uncle who was living with us had rented it not knowing what it was about. I watched it 2-3 times and knew right then and there I was gay. This was over 22 years ago

I'd like to point out is that "Happy Together' is a Hongkong Chinese movie while "Eternal Summer" would be its Taiwanese Chinese contender (to date). Both are good, in my opinion. icon_smile.gif

I watched this a few days ago and it was different, but surprisingly really good. Not usually a fan of movies with subtitles but I loved this 1

venue35, wow, you've watched famous Taiwanese director Ang Lee's movies. The Wedding Banquet was mediocre (for me). Brokeback Mountain has more elements of M/M than gay. It was adapted from an M/M short story by Annie Proulx (published in The New Yorker, in October 1997). I read the short story but didn't watch the whole movie (because I don't relate to M/M genre literature or movies).

    Lol

The Wedding Banquet - (1993) about a Gay Taiwanese american in NYC living with his boyfriend and can't come out to his family. He faked marriage with a Chinese mainland woman in order for her to get a green card. That movie was pretty good ! Loved it, I'd recommend to see if you're Gay or Asian or Chinese/Taiwanese.

Brokeback - who haven't seen it?? lol

"Between Love and Goodbye"(200icon_cool.gif has a similar theme as "A Wedding Banquet" (1993) but with a twist.
