Greek? I thought I was mostly Dutch, Irish and Czech. Where did the Greek come from? I wasn't aware any of my ancestors were even remotely Mediterranean. icon_question.gif

Exactly like MuchMoreThanMuscle, a cross between Greek and Egyptian. My second toe isn't oddly long and goofy looking, but it's the same height as my big toe. Then my toes make a nice, aesthetically pleasing line toward my small toe.

I'm not perfect, but I do have nice looking feet and toes (and this in spite of being a runner and ballet dancer).

Oh those poor Celtic people; theirs looks more like a claw. And what the fuck is up with that Germanic big toe, what's that for, fisting? At least the Egyptian foot looks practical for running, must be all the hot desert sand did that to them.

Mine make a perfect arc. I have pretty feet. People have told me so. Well, at least I did before arthritis. Now I have to re-evaluate every five years. Watching your body deform? Not fun! So for now I'm still between Roman and Greek, Mediterranean for sure. And they're wide. Flipper feet. Great for swimming. I've also been told I have Mediterranean features. Hopefully the arthritis won't get too bad that my feet turn into Celtic claws. I can't imagine that being very good for the pool. Those can openers look like they could scratch through Marcite.

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidBy my foot's appearance it seems I am a cross between Egyptian and Greek. But my second toe isn't very long so it appears more Egyptian.

You must be a Ptolemy. Very distinguished lineage, you might be related to Queen Cleopatra.

What's with these asymmetrical feet? I didn't know that was so common.

And to complicate matters, they're a half size different. Needless to say, I have a tough time finding shoes that are comfortable on both feet.

Different size feet, by about a half US size, is actually quite common. You get the shoes for the bigger foot, and slide around a little in the other one. LOL!
