NYT: His chances of victory are minuscule, but he and other hard-right candidates will still be a headache for the G.O.P. in the 2016 primaries. Can mainstream Republicans stop him? Should they try?

That this crazy bigot is even in such a strong position in Republican polling tells you a lot about Republicans. They'll support anyone who says "Jesus" and "prayer" often enough. icon_rolleyes.gif

not necessarily, he will have a rough time getting republican support in the northern states and on the West Coast. You just have a visceral, nonsensical dislike towards republicans as evidenced by all your fictitious stereotypes.

Republicans seem like they've given up on winning the presidency for the foreseeable future... the more they rally around crackpots like Carson, the more absurd their party seems. Completely detached from mainstream America.

Well the democrats are no damned better. The republicans are too extreme right and the democrats are too extreme left. So pick your poison.

You guys really don't see why this story is supposedly "News" do you?

It's both a distraction and jack off material for liberals to get your minds off other more pressing issues.. like the fact that Hillary has 13 days to turn over her email server or it will be officially subpoenaed.

There's no one on the conservative end of the spectrum who's taking Ben Carson seriously as a candidate. Rand Paul has polled in consistently 1st since CPAC. Scott Walker at 2nd and since Carson's great words of wisdom about prison sex turning men gay he and Huckabee aren't even being mentioned anymore.

If Rand Paul wins the GOP nomination in 2016, I could easily support him. He is young and he has fresh ideas which is something that is greatly needed in Washington these days. The democratic party just seems to be stuck with all those older boomers born before 1955. It is turning into a home for the aged. Rand Paul, Scott Walker, and Jeb Bush are all good potential candidates for 2016. If they campaign on moderation and inclusion and push aside all the narrow minded bible thumping screwballs, any one of these guys could get easily elected president and the democrats could be soundly defeated.

I still don't get people on here making a case for those on the right since they are mostly opposed to gay rights. You have to right to your own views I simply do not get them icon_rolleyes.gif.

Well I don't get any of you guys wanting that crooked, power hungry bimbo Hillary for president. Not only is she totally unqualified for the nation's highest office but she and many other donkey dorks (democrats) have a record of saying things everyone likes to hear and making all kinds of heartwarming, lofty promises but when after they are elected, they just throw everyone under an approaching bus. They just want the votes of blacks, Hispanics, gays, millennials and others just to get their incompetent, ethically challenged asses into office. We are all just useful tools for their own self promotion. Wake up and smell the coffee.icon_exclaim.gif
