Cutting weight

    I've been dieting down but then recent injuries and my own fuck ups have caused me to plateau. Going from 195 to 175 in 6 weeks for a Muay thai exhibition fight. Any and all advice is welcome

    I can't offer any advice from my personal experience since I used a very radical method to deal with weight. I simply avoided becoming too heavy in the first place so I've never had to lose weight.

    Bro you got plenty of time. Coming from a former wrestler, you can do it.

    Get your diet right.. Stay away from starches, like pasta. Cut back on carbs and empty calories. Get as close to 175 as possible then you can lose the rest in water weight (sweating it out, sauna suits etc.) Water weight is a last resort and you may lose strength so only do that if you need to. Water weight will return as soon as you eat or drink anything so do that RIGHT BEFORE weigh-ins

    If you're already experienced in Muay Thai enough to participate in a competition, learn to use your extra 20 lbs of weight to your advantage.

    If you enter the competition worried about how many extra pounds you have, your opponent will see your emotional weakness and use it against you.
