"The Koch brothers, Ted Turner, the Hilton family and nine other powerful ranchers... "
"Ranchers," my ass. I grew up on a real ranch and still own the second one we bought in '71. Real ranchers work themselves to the bone, scrape by with a few loans, and are generally deeply honest, ready-to-help people I'm proud to know and be accepted by.
I'd love to see the K brothers, Ted Turner, the Hiltons, or anyone else, two or three days into haying at 95 - 100 degrees, or keeping irrigation going or getting up three or four times a night during calving -or fixing a neighbor's tractor or doing anything that makes the real community or real ranchers so strong.
