So, where is the outrage? The thousands of tweets? The relentless media coverage?

Silence speaks volumes of the true agenda of this movement. It obviously isn't truly gay rights now is it.

I'm confused, did this happen to you? or is there a missing article.

Either I wouldn't be fussed, they are just losing business this way, i'm sure there are plenty others who would be happy to make the cake.

Definitely some truth to that ... many axes to grind in these ridiculous culture wars but hatred of Christians seems to be a predominant theme.

Link to the article describing when and where this happened please.

And sorry, but laws are laws. If such a thing happened I would expect the outcry would be the same.

    Way stupid is right.

That youtuber, what's his name, Steven Chowderhead?, what a douche. I don't ever need to see him again.

And what the fuck is up with the OP? Where are all the tweets did you say? What are you nutz?

This wasn't even a fucking real event.

In any case, a real such event might one day come to pass and I think all in all this is good.

Civility might lose on a few fronts along the way, ie hobby lobshit et al but overall I tend to think that the more religion tries to assert itself, the less authority it will have.

Religion is not the basis of morality. Nor is it the steward. People are waking up to their bullshit.

I guess God really does work in mysterious ways.

"Steven Crowder noted how gay activists are so silent about Muslim oppression in Islamic nations — where “moderate” Iran routinely hangs gays from cranes in downtown Tehran, and ISIS throws gays off buildings every week."

Of course we are aware of ISIS murdering gays. Just as we are aware of a CA Republican who wants it to be legal to shoot fags. We are also aware that Tom Cotton says that we have it better than gays in Iran. Thus discriminating laws should be allowed....bringing us more inline with Religious Laws of the Koran, AS in Iran, a country that he wants war with.

    Oh the irony!

Cotton seems to want a Christan Fundamentalist government in the USA, to war against the Islamic Fundamentalists in the Middle East.

That's WHY we have a separation of church and state.

"If ever there was a Holy war, it was that which saved our liberties and gave us independence."----Thomas Jefferson

Jefferson was a Deist, a person who combines a rejection of religious knowledge as a source of authority with the conclusion that reason and observation of the natural world are sufficient to determine the existence of a single creator of the universe.

I don't see anyone here "hating" Christians. You're just a hateful A hole who wants gays to stay in the closet and you support homophobic discrimination on the grounds of religious freedom.

God forbid I question a Christian's homophobic ideology! I guess I should just accept their stone age, oppressive beliefs, and their hatred of all things gay, in order to appease the cult.

The point of the video cited is
    (1) muslim businesses, countries, and cultures are not held to the same standard as their christian counterparts. I generally find this to be true in the media and in personal conversations I have with my leftist friends.

    (2) Businesses should have the right to discriminate. I disagree. No one should be able to discriminate in business practices. Civil law and civil rights take precedence over religious law.

I went the the Indiana legislature web site and found the law that is so controversial. Homosexuality is not specifically addressed. Basically the law says I can do whatever I want if I have a religious conviction, which is sort of like saying that the law does not apply to me if I do what I want in the name of religion. It inverts and trashes the foundation of western civilization, which is the rule of law.

Well, speaking as a Christian, the christianists have brought it on themselves, by an large: the ranting right-wingers, the legislators cow-towing to them, the pro-LGBT churches fairly silent... Moreover, we are a "Christian country," in the sense many of many of our laws and much of our history reflect a dominant Christian perspective - where we are not a Muslim country. So the anti-Christian feeling is a home product, here, today, attacking our rights and dignity.

This is mind blowing to me. Tell me if this is how this crap comes across to you:

"Christian" business can't serve gays because God.

"Muslim" business can't serve gays because God.

WHY CAN'T WE CHRISTIANS BE JUST AS HOMOPHOBIC, STONE-AGE ABSURD, BACKWARD AND SHITTY TOWARD OUR COUNTRYMEN AS MUSLIMS?

Is that what you "Christians" are arguing for, the right to be assholes too? Fuck you. Go back and read the part where Jesus washed the feet of sinners, and tell me how anyone could purport to be "Christian" when they don't even remember THAT Christian.

Why would you go to a Muslim bakery for a gay wedding cake? I am sure that there are other bakeries in gay friendly areas that will take your money.

More extreme leftist hyperbole from Minneapolis Motor Mouth. Do you have any valid proof that he supports homophobic discrimination or are you just flapping your jaws in the breezeicon_question.gif

And then, when taken to the third level, the Jews are criticized because they DO the business that the other two won't! Now, that's hypocrisy!
