No site I know requires them like some for passwords do. I wish they were pass codes to the few rare sites that at least let you see who messaged you. Why do so many sites think you want to pay them for the chance that the one guy you like there is one who messaged you, when it is more likely he isn't.

I'd like everyone to write to at least one dating site that does this and help to stop their foolishness.

Look at it as your first level filter. Of course it narrows the search results, but do you really want to have a Sesame Street date (brought to you by the number 69 and the letter P)?

Beware of those that have the number "666" or is it "696"?

Numbers on dating profiles gay or straight from my experience are either, as follows

    1. Code for a sex act such as "69"

    2. Birth year "xxxx1996", xxxxx89" etc

    3. Age: JonDoe44 when he was 44 year old and most will not get a new dating profile every year.

    4. Location: zipcodes, area codes etc

    5. (hopefully any of you don't to it):twistedicon_razz.gifin number or part of your SSN.

    6. Code for a letter like USC cola21193 since U is 21st letter S is 19th letter and C is the third letter.

    7. Just random numbers because their name they like has been used "brad84894570".icon_lol.gif

Thanks men, especially Orland23's list. Numbers for letters as a code that's what I was trying to find but couldn't get it on my own.
