I do volunteer and I loves sex and I make the best grilled cheese sammich ever. I always suspected a connection. It's nice to have the proof.
But, um, American cheese, really? I haven't seen American cheese in the house since probably fifth grade.
I do my melts in different ways depending on what's in the house. My last one was with grilled tomato, gruyere cheese and swiss but I also love it with tomato and caramelized onion, with the onion cooked nearly crispy: gives it a nice flavor but takes more time.
You never make it with mozzarella. No idea why that's listed. Gross. That's only good for pasta or a salad with basil and tomato. Other than on pizza it's not really bread item. Cheddar can be good. I could picture that with maybe a touch of something sweet as well. Just last week out with a friend for lunch at a new to us spot, we had melted brie on a mild rye with slices of baked pear. Slightly too sweet at first taste but pretty tasty after the first few bites.
Unless the guy hasn't the gene to tolerate lactose or is sensitive to allergens, not loving a melted cheese sammich is like a guy who doesn't like dogs; those are guys I don't trust.
It's a good first date test. Make'm a melted cheese sammich and then see if he'll play with the dog.
