NYT: In a surprise move, the International Association of Athletics Federations awarded the event to Eugene, a track and field hotbed, on Thursday without a formal bid.

How about holding this track and field event in either San Diego, Salt Lake City, or Colorado Springsicon_question.gif

Have driven through salt lake city, and the infrastructure was terrific.

Btw, sorry for going overboard with my rant. Eugene, 30 years ago, was very nice. This could return if the current leaders were voted out. Chico, a similar city, just voted out its big spending democrats. There is hope.

Both Eugene and Chico are charming places and gay friendly and I want to see them succeed. I especially like Chico state universityicon_biggrin.gif
I would love to see the older northern cities like St Louis, Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, and Buffalo vote out the corrupt, incompetent Democratic Party.
