I'm still a little jaded from the prequels so I was in a wait-N see mode. Then they showed the Falcon, I almost popped a boner. Then comes... "Chewy... We're home". I needed a towel. icon_lol.gif

The red lightsaber is an awful design! Awful. The sword-like lightsaber. How the frack does it work? The cross guard won't cut the Sith's fingers? The Force will protect the Sith from the little laser bits off the lightsaber?

The rest is good and the stormtrooper is cute.

This new trailer, unlike the first, has me much more hopeful. I actually got chills...lol

I found the wording to be interesting. "The force is strong in my family, my father HAS it" as opposed to saying HAD it. I'm wondering if that might be a hint into who will possibly be in this one or if it's intentionally misleading.

I'm not getting my expectations up. The last few have been painfully awful. Yet the original movie holds up pretty well.

I think it's because those with the Force don't die in spirit, like Yoda and Obi Wan Kenobi. Remember how they would appear in some scenes after their deaths?

Damn, I wish I knew what happened to my action figure collection. They are probably in this guy's collection, a lot of which he says he bought at yard sales for practically nothing.

There's gotta be someone running a study on how Star Wars fans are conditioned. That trailer had the right combination of droids, landscapes, images, high-speed chases and explosions to make ANYONE excited...

But finishing with Han Solo on screen for the first time in over 30 freakin' years and the John Williams orchestra... well, it all made for a world wide nerdgasm.

I'm not judging... I nerdgasmd my geekjaculate all over the place too...

You make a good point CAD. I think you could be right. Still surely there'd have to be a few throwbacks to Darth Vader at least I hope so.

There is a theory going around the villain collects Sith relics to gain the Force. So he could have just acquired an old design.

    "World-wide nerdgasm" -- so true! icon_lol.gif

The trailer is really exciting. Everyone I know has been talking about it.
I think this movie is going to be great.

For what it's worth, I think Luke's voice-over quote about the Force in his family is actually lifted from "Empire Strikes Back" during his speech to Leia revealing that she is his sister. It's the exact same wording, and Mark Hamill's voice doesn't sound exactly like that any more because he's so much older.

For those fans who are truly worthy, Lego has an entire Star Wars figurine collection!
