    "50 years since the first gay rights protest outside the White House" so kids not even conceived then are first gaining our human right of marriage now.

    And 25 years since Bush Sr. sent our troops to fight in the Gulf War region where American kids not even born then still die.

    Amazing! These men & women were so brave!

    I was 16 in high school in 1965, still didn't know about myself. But if I did, I wonder if I would have had this courage? I hope I do today.

    President Lyndon Johnson was in the White House, and this demonstration appears to have had no effect. And Johnson may have been "very upset" per the article, maybe even more so if he knew a number of his present & past staff (as Vice President & Senate Majority Leader) were gay. I know, because I had sex with one of them. icon_eek.gif

    These were very brave people. It's because of them, and others like them, that we've gotten as far as we have today.
