The Church is welcoming to gays. Gays just want the Church to conform it's teachings on human relationships and sexuality to their orientation. If you want to be a gay Catholic you are going to have to remain celibate for the rest of your life as is expected of unmarried straight Catholics. You are going to have to accept that the Church reserves the sacrament of matrimony to opposite sex couples. You cannot get married in the Catholic Church even if it legalized by the civil authorities. It's their Church; their rules. You don't like? Find another church. Easy peasy. No sense banging your head against a wall all your life.
