I do love the circular approach the phobes have when they go to court.

"We're gonna win... cuz Gawd is on our side!!!1!"

    (Goes to court)

"We got no constitutional arguments, yer honor, but rule for us anyway... Why? Becuz Gawd!!!1!"

    (Loses in court)

"These judges need to be thrown out! We're gonna take this all da way to da Supreme Court, and we're gonna win... cuz Gawd is on our side!!!1!"

Umm, they got 93% of the signatures necessary (10% of the last Mayoral vote) and were only 1K (more or less) short. While they COULD appeal, it would be much easier (time-wise and financially) for the conservatives to simply launch a new petition/referendum.

I hope they give up though, equality should be the legal rule. No one's asking for special treatment, just equal treatment.

Equal treatment is a very alien concept in Texas.
