Right on. Mexico is one of the most liberal places I have lived. In the capital, and other cities, the attitude is very relaxed to non hetero couples.

Both Mexico and Canada allow gay marriage and neither country has suffered any devastating event because of it. Many European countries allow gay marriage. Why is the U.S. pandering to the narrow minded bible thumping screwballs by dragging its feet in making gay marriage the law of the land nationwide.

Rather simply, because they re listening to the US Republicans that you support. Now when will you stop supporting them? You control the answer.

Considering Mexico's large Catholic population, it's quite a surprise they're moving forward so quickly.

Catholic countries are usually pretty progressive, and a lot more progressive than the US, where the right wingers cater to the radical right fringe who seem to confuse the bible with the rule of law.

More ultra leftist hyperbole from Art. Not ALL republicans are opposed to equality, it is just the narrow minded bible thumping screwballs that are creating all the obstacles.
