    NYT: Eat with other people, especially people you care about, as often as possible. This has benefits even outside those of nutrition. It will make you more likely to cook. It will most likely make you eat more slowly. It will also make you happy.

    MuchMoreThanMuscle saidOne thing I think is not a good idea when it comes to food is watching television while eating. Depending on the nature of the program (e.g. violent or repulsive, etc.) I really think that watching television can have a negative impact on how one processes his food.

    I have no scientific basis for this. This is only my personal belief.


    Interesting you find that one in old health books. They include reading as well with the theory that you need to concentrate on food for your digestion system to work. It been universally forgotten.
