Do you have a certain food that you just can't give up even though you know you shouldn't eat it? For me it's Chinese food. I am pretty good with eating healthy but for some reason I can't give up Chinese food. I get it once a week and every time I say it will be my last time but then I end up getting it again. It's like a drug....

    How about you guys?

I have also got this problem and the same condition CHINESE FOOD, but i take these once a month. Excessive consumption of chinese or any fast food can make you FAT. And it's pretty risky for me since i am trying to bulk up.

    Hey, pizza isn't bad. =]
I have a slice every day from a great restaurant in Old Town Pasadena, but it's like...made there and I get Pineapple and Tomato as the toppings, it's a mini carb boost. =]

Cheese in general - fatty full flavored and in abundant quantities!

Peanut butter - full-fat big jar and straight from it!

Peanut butter is my weakness. I get this natural peanut butter from EarthFare and mix it with some honey. And if I'm feeling extra bad I dip Reese Cups in my peanut butter icon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gif

Kentucky Fried Chicken original recipe, thighs; none of that lower fat white meat for me, thankyouverymuch, I want the flavor.

I only get it about every other month, and I've managed to reduce it to a 2 piece meal from a 3 piece meal.

secondstartotheright saidwhy is chinese food bad?

Pretty much everything is fried, in a wok, with a good dollop of oil (no doubt some crappy hydrogenated palm seed oil). Too bad they don't use lard, then you could really feel guilty.

And then there's the MSG which some think is bad for you (but it's just pure umami flavor, which many people in the west don't know about, like salt is pure salt flavor or sugar is pure sweet flavor).

This is actually kind of an interesting thread. Different ethnic foods bring out unique challenges in some cases no doubt. I've always thought of Chinese as being relatively healthy, but I'm sure there are some of those ingredients (or other) that can be avoided.

I do a weekly recorded webradio program and this fall we start our 3rd season. Kind of a fun little side venture for me. One of my recurring guests, a registered dietician, and I are going to interview chefs who specialize on different foods and try and gain some insight.

For me, its all about Mexican. I try and limit the cheese, which I know is pretty rough.

I can't seem to go more than a week without some Ben & Jerry's. Even if I become bored with a flavor, it's easy to find another that's highly addictive.

Dont know maybe race issue, hereditary or something like that. But anyway I like deep fry too, again considering all my limits.

Cheezits. No matter how hard I try to give them up, I just can't. That is why I'll never have abs.
