Pretty much everything is fried, in a wok, with a good dollop of oil (no doubt some crappy hydrogenated palm seed oil). Too bad they don't use lard, then you could really feel guilty.
And then there's the MSG which some think is bad for you (but it's just pure umami flavor, which many people in the west don't know about, like salt is pure salt flavor or sugar is pure sweet flavor).

I still have noticed that you really dont see that many fat chinese people....
I would kill for decent chinese right now ...one of the things we really dont have where I live
there is a fairly large chinese community in Johannesburg ...with fantastic restaurants ...
also an indian community ...I would kill for a samoosa right now also ...
I like anything deep fried
