NYT: In her first major policy speech since announcing her presidential run, Mrs. Clinton spoke forcefully about the damage done, ticking off the names of the unarmed African-American men who have died at the hands of white police officers in recent months.

“From Ferguson to Staten Island to Baltimore, the patterns have become unmistakable and undeniable,” she said.

In typical Hillary fashion, she spoke, but did not actually say much. A bit of well timed hand-wringing and crocodile tears. She is for "reform" of the criminal justice system, but does not propose much that the federal government has any jurisdiction over. (Does she forget that she is running for president, and not to be governor of Maryland?)

The Times says she said that there should be lesser sentences for "petty drug offenses". What is a petty drug offense? And I don't remember reading about Bill pardoning many federal drug offenders in his 8 years in the White House, when she had a lot of influence. (He was best known for pardoning a tax criminal who gave $ millions to the democratic party.)

And what planet is she on, where one can conclude that not prosecuting drug dealers will suddenly raise all of poor Baltimore out of poverty?

Still waiting for a real democrat to run for president.

What Rand Paul Said About Baltimore

NYT: “I came through the train on Baltimore last night,” he said, confusing his cities and his modes of transportation. “I’m glad the train didn’t stop.”

What Jeb Bush Said About Baltimore

NYT: Jeb Bush, the former Florida governor, characteristically fumbled for a response. He called for “a commitment to the rule of law” and said there should be a quick investigation into Freddie Gray’s death “so that people know that the system works for them.”

That shows a shocking lack of understanding about the racial divides in this country. The system does not work for “them.”

What Ben Carson Said About Baltimore

NYT: On the fringe of the campaign, Ben Carson, the neurosurgeon and supposed presidential aspirant who never has anything useful to say, said the problem in Baltimore was that parents don’t have enough control of their children

Taking her remarks and commentary in the article....

“There is something profoundly wrong when African-American men are still far more likely to be stopped and searched by police, charged with crimes and sentenced to longer prison terms than are meted out to their white counterparts,” Mrs. Clinton said in a forceful address Wednesday at Columbia University.
The things that are profoundly wrong do not begin or end with the police or criminal justice system. Until something is done to correct the environments that produce the disproportional crime in black communities nothing will be accomplished. The overhaul needs to start there at the ground floor. This problem has not been solved by throwing massive amounts of good money on top of poorly spent money over the past four decades and most likely will not be solved by repeating the same ineffective efforts of past administrations.
Hillary was only pandering to her faithful congregation.

For those seeking the White House, the conflagration in Baltimore exposed a complicated truth: The racial comity that the election of Barack Obama seemed to promise has not materialized.
It should be no surprise Obama has failed in his commitments on solving race problems; he's used them as a divisive tool at every opportunity. Is there anyone who doesn't believe that in the overall picture racial tensions and divisions have only increased since he was elected?

    Hillary said,
“When we talk about one and a half million missing African-American men, we’re talking about missing husbands, missing fathers, missing brothers.”
    Puuuleeeeeze, Biotch.
Count the families, murder victims and survivors who been the victims of these murdering, raping and robbing fathers and brothers and you'll see the number is at least three or four times as many. The solution to crime is not releasing criminals or even keeping them out of prison. It starts by creating environments that will produce less criminals.

In her last presidential campaign, Mrs. Clinton echoed the approach of the Bill Clinton years with a call to expand police forces to help cities halve the homicide rate.
So the solutions she supported six years ago are not the solutions she has decided to lie about this year? That's Hillary for you. It's only been two years since she was strictly for letting gay marriage be resolved on a state by state level. She recently flipped on that only because it was before the Supreme Court.

She said the protests in Baltimore and Ferguson, Mo., were indelibly linked to an economy that disproportionately favors the wealthy and she delivered a populist lament that prosperity should be measured by strengthening families and communities and not Wall Street’s measure of “the size of the bonuses handed out in downtown office buildings.
TALK ABOUT A BOLD BIOTCH! She's the candidate with the most and biggest connections to the very same damned Wall Street bonus crowd!!! No way in hell she's going to do a damned thing about "the size of bonuses handed out in downtown offices."

She is bitching and moaning about the very thing that benefitted her and enabled her to launch a political career. What a hypocrite. This bumbling bitch has zero credibility. This is just another example of her pandering so she could get elected.
