From the articleA prisoner sharing a police transport van with Freddie Gray told investigators that he could hear Gray “banging against the walls” of the vehicle and believed that he “was intentionally trying to injure himself,” according to a police document obtained by The Washington Post.

It will be very embarrassing if it turns out the guy was just trying to have a wank to relieve the stress, lol.

It appears that there is a fair to good possibility that the Baltimore Police had nothing to do with this young man's injuries and death. Everyone jumped to conclusions and now you have the city's western district in smoldering ruins. Go figure.

Is there any surveillance video that proves that they broke his neckicon_question.gif Notice in my posting that it is a FAIR TO GOOD POSSIBILITY that the Baltimore Police had nothing to do with this young man's injuries and death. That does not mean that the cops are automatically innocent of any wrongdoing. There is more that needs to be found out before reaching any conclusion.

Have you seen the video? Had his neck been broken before he got in the van he couldn't have moved his legs or head as he plainly did.

Still, I'm waiting for the rest of the evidence to be released before I even think of weighing in on this. Anyone who kept up with the Ferguson fiasco ought to remember to do the same.

One thing that has peaked my curiosity is that the autopsy is done, Freddie Gray is buried and they are still hold the coroner's report. There's not too many reasons to do that with the first one being that it doesn't fit into some predetermined narrative of city officials.

And seeing that at least two of the officers who've been suspended are black and only officer has attempted to make a statement through a trusted friend (a lawyer would have been better) there's still much left to be learned about this.

And seeing the the same person ( who owes 7 million in back taxes) who incited so much of the violence and misinformation in Ferguson made his debut in Baltimore today with the mayor, it may take a while to cut through the predictable bullshit rhetoric and get to the truth.

The evidence that has come forth in the last 24 hours seems to indicate the police were at fault. I'm still in no hurry to express an opinion about this until it has developed more. I put faith in the judicial system as everyone should. That lesson was never more evident than in the Ferguson case that we all should have taught everyone a big long lasting lesson.

Another right-wing attempt to smear a black victim fails:

Other Prisoner in Van with Freddie Gray Denies Police Account
    http://gawker.com/the-other-prisoner-in-the-van-with-freddie-gray-refutes-1701423677

Who would guess thug cops would lie and leak to save their own butts, after it was discovered they lied about how many stops the van made on a 40 minute ride that should have taken all of 5 minutes? Except everyone outside of the Republican Party.

Gray is not the first. Dondi Johnson Sr. was left paraplegic after a 2005 Baltimore police van ride, won $7.4 million. In 2004, Jeffrey Alston won $39 million after a Baltimore police van ride left him paralyzed from the neck down. There have been other instances and payouts -- will media report them? Were they all accidents? Did they all injure themselves? Baltimore cops are terrorist thugs, and the conservative Republican racists applauding them are despicable trash (and typical Republicans).

Well, I was wondering when someone would bring this up. It made for an interesting read a couple of days ago.

I didn't post it up because of the usual suspects crying foul because I'm Canadian (never mind that we have friends and family living in the US).
