Some of my favorite songs from this year. This time Australia is participating too.

We had this Eurovision fans meetup in Berlin. Obviously, all the participants were gay. There was only one straight guy, who after realizing the fact that almost everyone is gay there, left as soon as possible.icon_lol.gif
In this meetup, we did kind of mock voting, and Italy's entry was adjudged as winner. I had voted for Italy too.

    Grande Amore from Italy

This Slovenian girl has really nice voice.

    Australian Entry is nice too

There are lots of rubbish songs too.

Yeah, Australia has a big fan base, from what I have heard. I think it's just a one time thing, where they have allowed Australia to participate. I think they paid good money too because they are directly into the finals. Most of the big European countries like Spain, Italy, France also qualify directly because they pay more money to EBU.

I watch it every year but I have to admit that a lot of the songs are quite bad sometimes.

Yeah, they are really bad. It's more fun when you are drunk and in a group of 10-20 gays. I enjoy more the voting part, where you can clearly see how different European countries align with each other.

Well, technically, a good portion of Turkey is in Europe. ;) Needless to say, the reason why countries geographically not part of Europe like Israel have participated is because they fall into the European Broadcasting Area, a broadcasting area which extends over Europe and a lot of border areas in Western Asia and North Africa. Countries falling into this area can thus join the European Broadcasting Union, who organise Eurovision.

I've only heard the British entry so far and while it's pleasant enough, I doubt it'll have enough wide appeal to win.

I dont think any of them will stand a chance against the three Italian studs ...who happen to have rather fine voices !

I think it will be the perfect antidote to Conchita ( who I do think is amazing )

French entry is good too, but I doubt it'll win. Very well sung!
