After you have an idea of the area (or maybe even a specific address) you might be able to check it out on TripAdvisor:

I'm not sure about that, and only parts of South Florida. But I do get some interesting insights. Just the other day at a function I made the acquaintance of the guy who owned & publishes "FunMaps" for the Florida gay community (Alan Beck). I'm sure you've seen those around. (Actually Beck just sold FunMaps to our friend Bobbie Blair, who publishes the gay Agenda newspaper and Guy Magazine. But Beck remains publisher for 3 more years)

bananamilk is welcome to email me. My preliminary questions are:

    1) Where in Florida?
    2) Is this to plan a relocation? (Thread title says "vacation" but asks about condos)
    3) If a relocation, is this full-time or seasonal?
    4) For what purpose is the relocation? Employment in a specific field, education, or other?
