Now, I AM aware this is a gay MEN'S forum.

However, there has to be someone else out there that watches the L Word. Isn't anyone else part of the lesbian telephone tree? I personally am a huge Alice fan. She's me. Just with more style (?), more ass getting power, and a hotter significant other.

Come on. Let's see a show of hands.

Woman confesses to 1967 slayings....Woman said she shot co-workers who taunted her for being a lesbian

Two months before dying, a Virginia woman confessed to killing two women nearly 42 years ago, authorities said Friday, telling police she shot the women because they had taunted her for being a lesbian.

Constance Smootz Hevener, 19, was shot to death at an ice cream shop where she worked in 1967.

1 of 2 Sharron Diane Crawford Smith, 60, confessed in a November 28 interview to shooting the women at a Staunton ice cream store in 1967, authorities said.

"I was just pushed so far," Smith said, according to a transcript of a police interview.

lezzies annoy me, i have never kept a lesbian friend they always wrong me some how. so i just avoid them.

The only reconciled friendship was with a girl who began dating guys again then we had something in common and know she loves me again.

My first sd pride there was actually a lezzie who yelled at some woman because she looked at her. literally her words verbatim were :

"HEY! Did you just look at me?!?!" -- Stupid lezzie

--looking around confused "uhh no..." --confused straight woman

i was like are you serious?!? and she did that to several ppl, i was like this is a celebration of love and acceptance and you're pissy cause someone looked at you?!?

Though I missed out on most of The L Word's second season, the other night I got hold of the first disc of season 3 and put on the first episode while doing something else. Anyway, there was this scene where Jenny intentionally planned to get caught by her parents with her Ms. Testosterone Lover, so that her dad will throw her out of the house.
Anyway, as she was leaving, she was called by her mum and sat by the stairs on the porch. It was a touchy seen, alright, but more than that I could not believe my eyes!!! It was the voice I recognized first--- then staring at her longer made me realize it was MARGOT KIDDER!!!

The show just gets better after that. That whole season is good. I could watch the L Word everyday honestly.

So far, two other fans. Come on there has to be more.

Leave the lesbian anger out of the thread. Let's not whitewash a whole group.

I just started watching last week, starting at season 1. It is amazing! I'll probably be able to catch up relatively quickly...which means the show is great, but my social life is going to suffer in the coming weeks. haha. Can't wait for some down time to get through a season or two.

Can't say I have ever seen it. I don't have the channel it is on so that may be a contributing factor.

Er, you mean blackball. And, what is the PC version of that term, as per females...blackslot? About the closest actual is "pigeon-hole."

Not Once. Sorry but I have no interest in lesbianism at all.

Not sure if that because in Melbourne, we are two totally diffrent communities? Thats the way they want it.............

I loathed the L word when I first watched it...mostly because it incites political angst (particularly the seriously terrible trans character, Max, and the constant anti-bisexual digs...).

But, once I accepted the impossibility of a dodgy tv series being truly representative of the queer community and politically/socially/culturally sensitive...I discovered true entertainment bliss (in that dodgy, bold and the beautiful for lesbians kind of way) and am well addicted now.

Alice = raddest by far, and Kate Moennig (who plays Shane) alone is a good enough reason to keep watching too...

I was in a gay dancing club. There a lesbian couple dancing and kissing there among the gays. Firstly I was like, what the hell is this dikes doing here. But latter on I realize that I am being a homophobic and gay hater. As though I hate myself. I decided to accept that lesbian is just like us. Discriminate , hated and alienated due to no fault of their own. They are in a same boat as us and we should embrace them with love not hate.

    *raises hand* too.

I really like the show. I was happy how this season began until it had to cut back to 3 months prior. *grumble*.

I only really got into the show during season five. I'm tying to watch it from the beginning and I'm watching the final season now on Showtime.

Btw, the opening theme in Season 3 --how much did the "artist" pay to get her song selected for the OB? Major ick.
