OKCupid.com is probably the best one I've found. The guys are typically more interested in actually dating rather than hookups.

Is there a reason you're opposed to apps?

Well I was opposed to using apps mainly because my phone is not compatible with apps for some reason. I assume this is because it's an old phone and nowadays people use Iphones. I'm thinking about getting an iphone so I can download dating sites apps.

The reason behind all this is because I was instantly attracted to some guy at an airport who also got on the same plane as me and got off in Birmingham UK. Even though I was very attracted to him, I kind of got the impression that he was checking me out too which made me feel very happy in a way. I really wanted to talk to him but didn't know if he was gay or straight but for some reason I was confident that there was some kind of vibe between us two.

Anyway, over a week later I was on the gay dating site called Gaydar and I saw a profile under new profiles and in the pic it really looked like him. I messaged him but he hasn't read my message yet. It's already been a 2 and a half weeks since I messaged him but my messages are unread and he was online once since I messaged him and he was on Gaydar App. He hardly ever comes online and when he does it seems that he doesn't do anything rather than just log in, it doesn't say checking messages so it might be that he can't seem to access his messages or something.

I'm thinking about trying other gay dating sites because it might be possible that he's using another website too but I don't really know what to do apart from wait for him to read his messages or just do nothing else about it.

I don't know if I would go chasing after this one guy. You're very attractive so I'm sure he will not be the last guy to give you the eye. But if you insist on trying to find this particular guy, it's a long shot but you could always post a Craigslist ad under "Missed Connections."

Also, if he looked a bit scruffy, you might try the app Scruff once you get your new phone. Just type in his city or postal code and if he's on there he'll show up.

Realjock (This one) is a great one. And bigmuscle too.

You will find more genuine people there, on average, than on a site like adam4adam (it is full of crap) - fake profiles and people sending nonsensical messages.

Ok Cupid - I have a couple of good dates on there.
For apps, I use Grindr, Jack'd and Hornet. icon_smile.gif

my husband and I met on Manhunt. Is that website still a thing? I figured apps like Grindr and Scruff would have kind of killed their market.

YOU'RE not too desperate. icon_rolleyes.gif BWAHAHAHA

I keep it real when I need some action & just go on Craigslist. Sketchiness & fakes n' flakes galore but also a surprising number of seriously good quality guys. Mostly they're on the DL and/or sneaking around, but I'm not feelin' hearing their excuses and sob stories. Each knows why the other is there. We meet (in a safe public place), play, and go. It's reliably easy and sleazy. "Dating" is so high school.

Manhunt is still around, but it seems to be mostly older guys who can't figure out apps. The aging Petri dish guys. I hardly pay any attention to it any more, except I keep getting annoying emails "You have a new wink on ManCunt!" But if you log on to clear that message, you just get another one. icon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gif

It was sort of location-dependent, but gay.com used to be a good place to chat platonically with local guys. The apps sort of killed it. Then the owners re-booted the whole thing and killed off the local chat entirely.

Lately, I've gotten more "date" contacts with guys on "Scruff." I mean date in the sense of not just screwing, but actually doing something and having a conversation. (Well... And then screwing, of course.). Got one tomorrow. icon_wink.gif

I don't care for gay apps.I rather use gay dating websites on
my laptop computer than on my smart phone any day.Computers
are safer and more private than smart phones.I believe that
computers are better smart phones for online dating and
using gay social networking websites.I'm a very private
guy as a gay single man without kids that I would like
to meet other gay single men without kids like myself
    online.

FYI: Match.com is THE WORST! I made the mistake of paying for it and it's been a total waste of money.

What was so bad about it? I mean, I would think the fact it was a paid site could give more favorable results.
