More Americans Are Comfortable With A Gay Presidential Candidate Than With An Evangelical One

"Sixty-one percent said they would be either enthusiastic about or comfortable with a gay or lesbian candidate, while only 37 percent said they would have reservations or be uncomfortable.

By comparison, respondents were a little less comfortable with the prospect of a candidate who is an evangelical Christian. Fifty-two percent said they'd be enthusiastic about or comfortable with an evangelical Christian running for president, while 44 percent expressed some degree of hesitancy about the idea. (Two percent of respondents said they were not sure about a gay or lesbian candidate, while four percent were not sure about an evangelical.)"

That's not really news outside the evangelical world. That same question is in the extensive poll below that was done by evangelicals in 2012. Although the percentages were slightly different 3 years ago it was still something we would hear as a sign of acceptance by more and people while evangelicals hear it as a reason they need to "fight the war for god" with more blind zeal than ever before.

Just remember in 1980 they accounted for almost 30% of Christians.
Today they are 13% and it's all due to their own ever more fanatical rhetoric becoming more fanatical each year and more recently by the month.

And once again I have to say that as more and more of them talk about settling the "gay issue by either ballots of bullets" (Bryan Fischer of AFA) and fighting to the death against gay marriage and gay rights. You'd be crazier than they are not to take them seriously. It won't be long before one of their Christian warriors starts shooting, bombing, burning or mailing anthrax to gay organizations, businesses and individuals... just like happened with abortion clinics and staffs in the 1990s.

Here's a long list of their terrorist acts starting a quarter century ago with their rhetoric not even close to as heated as it is today against gays. Better to be ready for it than surprised by it.

    The American War on Christianity

It is pretty hard now days to turn on the television or open a newspaper without hearing about "the war on Christianity" and see devout believers lamenting on how horribly they are "persecuted" in America today. With gay marriage, abortion and atheists removing God from every aspect of the government, it seems pretty obvious that we secular citizens are using separation of church and state as a new battlefield against religion. How horrible a life American Christians must be forced to live.

In America we've both southern hospitality, so we'll tolerate crazy to a point, but also we've got New York attitude: cross the Mason-Dixon line of our southern hospitality and we're gonna tell crazy to fuck off.

I don't know about you but if I have to hold a gun to their heads to force them to do anything it won't be for them to live.

I contain my contempt for them in forums so that I don't offend sensible christians. Around evangelicals and fundamentalists, I make no effort to hide it from them. I don't know the situation with fundamentalists in other cities but here we have a serious ongoing problem with them that has caused a majority here to be as hostile to them as I am. Murders, bombings, arson, vandalism on cars and businesses.

And here's the psychotic fucktard fundamentalist who's the worst of them all...
    headed BACK to prison soon.

Conservatives/evangelicals and religious extremists are getting farther and farther away from mainstream America.

Now they are trying to drum up interest in a "war" over gay marriage, saying they will give their own lives to defeat equality for gay Americans, going on hunger strikes and removing themselves from regular society.

It's no wonder they are so unpopular... normal Americans are scared of them because they seem to get even nuttier each year.
