Our own Obama could learn a bit from Ms. Notley:

"She is not anti-pipeline, noting that they are a lot safer than rail. She would rather invest in processing bitumen in Alberta instead of shipping it south."

Still, I'm glad most of my upcoming road trip will be in BC.

Not sure whether I'd call Alberta 'Canada's Texas' although I'm familiar with the term.....and since I am an Albertan I will say that the Progressive Conservative government shot itself in the foot over a period of years and has reaped the consequences. However in the same breath, I will say that the NDP does not have a good track record of fiscal responsibility in the provinces they have governed. I'm very cautious about the next four years and hope the voters don't come to regret their decision. Vengeance is always best served cold...and people usually get the government they deserve.
