    I read that yesterday,

But "It is my deep conviction that the complementarity of gender—man and woman—and the possibility of new life that may result from their union aren’t accidental but essential to the institution of marriage."

Her logic is faulty. What about older straight couples in there 60s? What about a woman who can't conceive? A man with a low sperm count? What about a young couple who don't WANT children?

    That makes birth control "evil".

By her logic they should all be refused to right to marry.

It's great the two sisters still get along. Cheney's daughter still speaks to that old fuck of a father. Good for them!

But I wouldn't tolerate it for a second.

I get a kick out of all these conservatives who still invoke the reproduction thing as the reason marriage should be between a man and a woman.

With that logic, a person who isn't able to have children should be put to death because their life is worthless.

The premise for the conservative sister's disapproval of gay marriage is flawed and misinformed. What society has she been living in to say "Until about fifteen years ago, most people, gay and straight alike, would probably have agreed with me. Today I’m well aware that many no longer do, including my sister."?

Really? Fifteen years ago most people would have agreed with her? Ignorant b*tch.

Wasn't super pleased with the gay sister's analogy to preference for dog breeds. Why does someone always have to bring animals in to the conversation when we start talking gay marriage?

For me more depressing part is gay republicans using the same argument for not supporting gay marriage. Very recently, some gay republican posted an article about why gay marriage shouldn't be legalized because gay marriage doesn't produce kids and some other religious stupidity. These guys are the worst.
