NYT: The decline of Christians has been propelled in part by generational change, as relatively non-Christian millennials reach adulthood and gradually replace the oldest and most Christian adults. But it is also because many former Christians, of all ages, have joined the rapidly growing ranks of the religiously unaffiliated or “nones”: a broad category including atheists, agnostics and those who adhere to “nothing in particular.

    Jesus was the greatest atheist.

He prophesied the end of his religion, Temple Judaism.
The end of his religion meant the end of his God.

Look up Leviticus 17:10 and then think about Jesus's statement about drinking his blood (and eating his flesh) metaphorically and even literally.

Leviticus 17:10 tells us those who consume blood makes God turn his kind face away from that person and that God gathers his children away from those people who consume blood.

With the end of his religion, his Temple, and his God, Jesus made an atheistic stance against the God of Moses and called the fulfillment of the scriptures of Temple Judaism a punishment.

People are leaving Christianity for Atheism?

    Well, Come to Jesus.

    SRSLY?!?!? well, OK.

I think the reason so many have turned away is because of the following, and she nails it:

" “I suppose you should have figured that making the brand selfish, mean, and political might have unintended consequences to its marketing. “ – Jesus, in His most insufferably correct I-told-you-so so far this week." .....from Betty Bowers

As he should be. Heed his invitation, as he said to the rich man who wanted salvation, sell all of your things and follow him. Go on, prove he is your Lord.
