Thanks for an interesting post. I'd like to see this alongside voter registration/party affiliation data.

Well, we know 90067 is Century City. Universal City is way higher than I thought it would be, but FRESNO ??????? That gets a great big WTF

These are the highest tax paying zipcodes.. not necessarily the wealthiest people..

For instance, the median home value in 10065 in New York is $6.5 million (2012)

But that apparently didn't rank at all on this map.

Curious, I've lived in at least half a dozen of those zip codes. None of the money seems to have rubbed off on me, though. icon_sad.gif

sorry, income is not wealth, assets (e.g. net worth) are wealth - and a lot of towns are left out on this lame study

"These are the highest tax paying zipcodes"

Bottom graph is. Top (the map) is reported (presumably taxable) incomes.

Could you suggest some? I would definitely be interested ....

As for "Lame Study" well Experian isn't a good company they make it impossible to raise your credit score after they worked out back room deals with Obama and Reid and the Credit Card Act. My score dropped 60 points after Obama took office due to these new rules. And it still hasn't gone back up (2007 to 2015). I did nothing wrong. Always pay bills on time.

it's a flawed and worthless study because capital gains (true wealth) are taxed at a much lower rate than income

and assets owned aren't reflected on a tax return

I know a few very wealthy people/families with almost zero "income"

Nothing but the best for you mateicon_lol.gif
But if Melbourne was on that list and I calling the heart of the East home, my husbands and my postcode would be on that list. After six months of travelling, it's so nice to be home.
