    NYT: Universities are struggling to figure out how to impart information to students that won’t be overridden in the near future by computers and robots.

    So many pet peeves of mine (not the least of which is the computers-are-made-of-magic myth) rolled into one article. But this guy's an econ professor at Yale, so whatever his point is it must be right.

    Edit: To "stay ahead of technologies" add computer programming and calculus, including all prerequisites, to your major if they're not already there. Studying two languages probably goes without saying; if they're not present, add them.

    Edit 2: Logic courses from your philosophy department will give you a *major* edge if you can't take computer science courses (and even if you can).
