    Cartagena is the favorite place i've visited! Try and stay somewhere in the colonial part of the city (Ciudad amurallada). They tend to be more expensive but it's really the place to be. I stayed at zaguan de la huerta (See link below) and it was really nice, but there are definitely nicer places as well!

    You money will go far in Cartagena.

    My only advice: by wary of street vendors and beggars. There are a LOT of them in Cartagena and they often approach you as a group.

    Cartagena is a South American city that I always wanted to visit and it is just east of North America's southernmost tip where Panama borders on Colombia. I have heard so many wonderful, positive things about this historic port city. I am more than sure that the men are hot.icon_biggrin.gif
