Kill a bodybuilder, dissect him, and carve out 50 lbs of muscle. Then you'll know. icon_twisted.gif

Look at my "before" pic...I'm currently about 50 lbs heavier than the day I started lifting. Admittedly, not *all* of that is muscle, but I think most of it is.

    http://lmgtfy.com/?q=what+does+50+lb+of+muscle+look+like

Or if you actually meant 50 pounds total then:

"In the textbook, Exercise Physiology: Energy, Nutrition and Human Performance, Katch and McArdle list the theoretical model body composition distribution for a reference woman who is 56.7 kg and 23.6% body fat. It breaks down like this:

    5-9% sex-specific reserve storage fat
    4-7% essential fat
    15% storage fat (expendable)
    12% bone
    36% muscle
    25% remainder"

    56.7 kg is 125 lb. 36% of 125 lb is 45 lb.

So it looks like a reasonably fit woman.

Imagine what 10 5-pound pieces of beef look like strapped to someone as symmetrically as possible.

I'm not sure what the OP's question has to do with molesting children. But then my mind doesn't automatically go there as I don't think molesting children is a funny issue.

So, in an attempt to raise the level of this discussion, I think the OP means..." what does an additional fifty pounds of muscle look like?" i.e. if someone gained about 50 lbs.

On my profile you can see before and after photos showing gains of 60lbs. But I'm not a good example because it takes a lot of water to fill a big bucket. Shorter guys would look much bigger with the same gains.

My current profile pic is about 55 lbs higher than when I started training seriously (~170 lbs to ~225 lbs).
