One day after an overwhelming majority voted yes to gay marriage in a historic referendum in Ireland, a new campaign from Tourism Ireland is already targeting the LGBT community by endorsing the country as a prime place to tie the knot.

The video, titled "Ireland Says I Do," promotes the most beautiful destinations for Irish weddings as well as LGBT events like The Outing, the world’s first ever same-sex matchmaking festival.

“Ireland boasts some of the most dreamily romantic locations to tie the knot in the world," Tourism Ireland wrote in its press release. "And YES, your big day will make your heart sing."

It's nice to see that some country is leading the way in equality. icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah, Ireland has really jumped into the lead. They got this great vote result, and they didn't waste any time exploiting it. Good for them! icon_biggrin.gif

Oh, and BTW, I'm still waiting for RJ's chronic gay critics to congratulate the Irish for their wonderful accomplishment. Do you think that's a waste of time? icon_rolleyes.gif

I think cleaning the kitchen tile (or marble) with a pencil eraser would be a better use of time.

A fellow we know from RJ just got married to his guy and they're in Ireland now on their honeymoon. They had just arrived when the vote took place.

Still at it, Artless? I'd say pretty much everything you do is a waste of time.

If the monks at Mount Melleray had any sense, they'd convert a wing of their old monastery into a gay men's bed-and-breakfast (they don't allow women in the abbey), it would help them support themselves and the income would keep the monastery going. They might even get some recruits.

hmmmm... couples might want to make sure there's an extra-secure lock on their door, to which only they have the key.
