Saw kids doing this on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, it was really pretty cool architecturally.

“UPDATE: holy shit! maybe the support was more than i anticipated!!” [the artist] exclaimed. “[J]ust got a call from the city attorney personally here in Boulder telling me that he has ordered the police to NOT cite rock balancing under the city codes [I] mentioned below!!!”

“THANK YOU everyone for the overwhelming support!!!! [T]hey must have gotten lots of calls!! haha icon_smile.gif)”

Yeah, I've seen some of his videos. Utterly mesmerizing. Great that's he's getting such strong support and exposure.

    ...AND he's hot icon_redface.gif

Here goes our fascist control freak politicians again, over regulating and abridging people's freedoms. The U.S. is becoming more like a dictatorship yet the American people are sitting on their asses complaining about it but not doing anything else. Go figure.icon_mad.gif

What politicians? The story indicates this was the unilateral action of a single Boulder police officer, who took it upon himself to misapply city ordinances dealing with destruction of public property. The City Attorney put a stop to it, possibly at the urging of the elected city council. I don't know whether in Boulder the City Attorney is an elected office or appointed. If there's a "fascist control freak" in this story it's the cop.

The artist is adorable, that is a very unique and inventive art, one wonders there must not be any crime in Boulders for the police to go after a guy doing absolutely nothing to put anyone else in danger. In terms of physics an architecture, that is really quite amazing.

This reminds me of the cops and politicians trying to stop people from setting up lemonade stands because of "health concerns" or there is no "permit" granted. Like, really? There's NOTHING else in your job description that you have to scrape the bottom of that barrel.

Some of these cops act all high and mighty because they have a badge and a gun. They forget that they are public servants paid for with our tax dollars.
