That is pretty close to how we did it in ca. 1980 crew. Except we wore soaking wet cotton sweats (because it was foggy and/or raining.) Your buddy did pull-ups, then you got under him and did squats. Then you'd sit on his shoulders while he did push-ups.
Just remembered, my buddy's name was Guy Wiggly. From England some place. Haven't thought of him in decades. Dunno what happened to him after that. Good thing we were both skinny kids at the time.
