I'm looking for a few good men for non-competitive singles rowing on Seattle's spectacular lakes, bays, and ship canals this summer.

The best time is early in the morning to avoid wakes from power boats, but I'm open to other times.

Are you familiar with an organization renting sculling boats on L. Washington? If so, I'd be down.

The Pocock Rowing Center (PRC) in Seattle has lots of single sculls and blades available for its members to use. There is no rental fee. Membership dues are $200 including tax for three months.

The available boats include racing shells in a range of weights, and a few Maas Arrows.

I row out of the PRC. If you are closer to Renton the Renton Rowing Center, which is managed by the PRC, has a similar arrangement. I don't know anything about boats they have available.

Thanks. I'd buy a boat and avoid the $67 a month. Would be willing to rent a boat from someone; I might get there several times a year, considering I'm in Winslow.

Unfortunately, renting rackspace for my shell, which I row too rarely, only adds to my quarterly dues. icon_smile.gif
