All great picks so far. I'm sure someone will pick Lennon eventually.

I'd be interested to know what Beethoven could do with modern instruments. He'd probably have to have his hearing restored too.

I came in to pick Freddie Mercury and Janis Joplin. Since they have already been picked, I choose Amy Winehouse.

Beethoven, so he can sue the fuck out of these music companies for copyrighting his music.

Generally, in most if not all countries, copyrights have time limits. I'm somewhat familiar because a cousin of mine has been trying to retrieve ours which were stolen (legally, these were supposed to remain in the family). Also one of my ancestors was one of the founding "charter" members of ASCAP.

Time limits in this country have been extended courtesy of, oddly enough, Disney in the protection of it's mouse, Mickey. We expect Disney to fight for further extensions as the current time limits ready to expire.

Beethoven's copyrights would have long since expired. That work is now in public domain.

    Aaliyah!
She died wayyy to young and I feel there was so much potential for her to be mega huge.

I honestly saw her potentially becoming a major artist in music and film.
Not to mention she's a real performer since she always sang and danced live legitimately.

That's easy. Janice Joplin and Jim Morrison (of course we'd need Ray back too)

Cool, a kid into Janice. Very cool.

Even as old as I am, I wish I'd been a couple of years older so I could have been here (at the below) back in 1967.

    Nobody quite like Janice.

It's kinda funny cuz I'm really into hard rock and country but I think I would choose Salena. She seemed like such a good kind hearted person taken way before her time. Also she was wicked hot icon_smile.gif haha
