Man I didn't think I would ever allow something as full of crap as this get to me. people always tell me that I should be happy that I look so young because that means by the time I'm 30 I'll look about 25 or something. I don't know icon_confused.gif. I been feeling this is more of a curse then anything else. [Shigure Mode] Oh dear me. cursed to a fate of cute and young looks resulting in the disbelief and unacceptance of those around me. "No way he's 18!" they say cruelly, to a complete disregard to the fact that it's 100% truth.[/Shigure Mode]

Nahh I just needed to vent, but really, I get the feeling that no one really understands though. Of course, those who say I should be happy about it don't have to go through it themselves. I mean, it's not my fault that puberty hasn't been very kind to me lol (it's kinda funny when you put it that way).

    p.s
Thanks for listening/reading guys. Oh and by the way, this is shigure:

No worries at 43 I still have most thinking I'm 29-32. When I was your age it bothered me. Now I look at the majority of my peers and it all equals out and now I just smile!! You will too someday-be patient.icon_smile.gif

icon_sad.gif Same problem here. I look like I'm barely out of puberty! I've been called kid by people younger than me! icon_mad.gif

But then again, it's why I'm here. To be a man! And do manly things! Like man muscles! And man talk! And man sex! Yeah! biggrin.gif

sometimes people tell me that I look older .. and sometimes younger
that's why I don't shave my face now, I prefer to look a bit older than looking younger.. it's just now .

But you know you'll come to a stage that u wish you look younger , nobody knows, just try to enjoy yourself and don't care too much about the relation bitween age and look every year ..

Yep, I've been in the same boat. I used to hate the fact that I've never looked my age. I still got carded at bars and clubs up until 3 years ago, but now I kind of miss that. However, I feel it gets better as one gets 'older' (ugh, I hate that word). For starters, you can mix in with the younger crowd and not feel like an outcast. While others are fug and wrinkly, you WON'T! Just the other day I went out to dinner with a few co-workers, mostly women and one of them asked my age. I said I was 31, soon to be 32 and this was what I got from most of them ==> icon_eek.gif !!! It was freakin' awesome, cause they're all younger than me and some of them look soooooooooo much older! So yeah dude, don't fret over it cause in due time it won't be so bad anymore!

    Cheers icon_biggrin.gif

As long as no one thinks I'm older than my 51 years, then I'm happy.

Looking 'younger than you are' is only a bad thing for 3-4 years. However, it can be an asset for decades.

Looking 'older than you are' is only a good thing for 3-4 years. However, it can be a liability for decades.

Lately, I notice how under my eyes are getting darker and more tired looking (than usual). I'd rather look like a teen....this aging business sucks. icon_sad.gif

I'm enjoying it now. I just saw some pictures of myself when I was 25. The comment a friend had for me about it was "You looked like you were 10."

I've always looked about 10 years younger than I am. When I was more out of shape, people thought I was closer to my age. Another reason to stay in shape!

I know how you feel. When I was 18, I looked like I was 12. And it was horrible. I didn't go through puberty until AFTER high school. It could be difficult at times, because nobody took me seriously, girls wouldn't have anything to do with me, and everyone treated me like a little kid. When I was 16, I had trouble getting a part-time job after school because nobody believed I was 16. (Usually they would brush me off without even looking at my driver's license.) Along with looking young, I was puny (this was before I started working out), so that was a double whammy. Frankly, there were times when life was sort of humiliating.

But now. . . over 30 years later. . . I can assure you: WHAT YOU'RE GOING THROUGH NOW IS TOTALLY WORTH IT!! DO NOT DESPAIR. As one poster said earlier: It's hard for a few years. . . but then you enjoy that young look for decades. Today, at 49, I'm generally mistaken for someone 15 and even 20 years younger. Recently, someone guessed I was 28. It is a wonderful feeling. So look at it this way: For every uncomfortable moment you're having right now. . . you'll have a dozen great ones as the decades roll by.

No worries, believe me. Your "curse" will become a blessing.

(P.S. In the meantime, keep working out. I learned at about age 18 that people take you a lot more seriously if you've got muscles, no matter how young you look!)
